Scores first UFC victory
March 2, 2019
Cifers defeated Polyana Viana via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 235 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Cifers picks up her first UFC victory despite entering the bout as a healthy (+240) underdog. "Shockwave" scored one big knockdown in Round 2 and she did a very nice job of defending off of her back against a talented submission specialist in Viana. Cifers's future potential is virtually non-existent, but she did just enough to eek out a victory in the eyes of the judge's on Saturday.
Set to fight at UFC 235 vs. Viana

Cifers will take on Polyana Viana at UFC 235 on Mar. 2, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
"Shockwave" will look to bounce back after a rough UFC debut back in November. However, Cifers' next test won't be an easy one, as Viana has a six-inch height advantage on her and suffered just her second professional loss (her first since 2014) back in August.
Dominated in UFC debut Saturday

Cifers lost to Maycee Barber via TKO (strikes) at 2:01 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Denver.
Taking this fight on short notice, Cifers was hopelessly outclassed from the get-go. She displayed a ton of heart and hung in there far longer than she reasonably deserved. Fighters that are willing to accept a tough fight on three weeks notice almost always get a second shot with the company, but Cifers really doesn't deserve one.
