Cortez's fight versus Amanda Ribas on Saturday has been canceled due to a medical issue from Cortez, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Cortez will take on Amanda Ribas at the UFC event on Dec. 3, Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.

Cortez defeated Melissa Gatto via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 274 on Saturday in Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
It was a very easy fight to score, with Cortez winning the first and final frames, while Gatto took Round 2. Cortez fought reasonably well in her first bout in about 13 months. She controlled the pace of the fight on the feet and was able to keep Gatto pinned to the mat for long stretches at a time, particularly in the two rounds she won. On a negative note, Cortez did allow her opponent to connect on 3-of-6 takedown attempts. It ended up not hurting her, but that's an area Cortez will have to clean up moving forward. Eight of Cortez's ten professional wins have come via decision, so she appears to have very little margin for error as she attempts to rise up the rankings at 125 pounds.
