Wright was removed from the UFC's roster Tuesday, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wright's loss to Zac Pauga at UFC Fight Night on Saturday marked the end of his contract, and he didn't provide much incentive for a new deal. The 31-year-old is in the midst of a four-fight losing streak and is 2-5 since he joined the promotion in 2020.

Wright lost to Zac Pauga via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was the first time in Wright's professional career he fought into Round 3, let alone saw the final bell. All things considered, his cardio appeared to be much better than many would have thought entering the evening, but he was simply unable to generate any sort of consistent offense. Wright's biggest issue was that he spent nearly the entirety of the first two rounds being controlled by Pauga along the fence. He made some minor headway in the final frame when he was able to get back to the center of the Octagon more frequently, but the damage was already done. A loser of four fights in a row and without a victory dating back to May 2021, Wright seems highly likely to be handed his walking papers.

Wright is set to take on Zac Pauga in a middleweight matchup at a UFC event on Feb. 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Wright, who was most recently defeated by Dusko Todorovic in October 2022, will fight Zac Pauga in February. The 31-year-old American currently holds a 2-4 record in the UFC, and he will look to get back on the winning path against Pauga.

Wright lost to Dusko Todorovic via TKO (punches) at 3:12 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
You could watch MMA for the next several years and not see a fighter gas out as badly as Wright did here. "The Beverly Hills Ninja" dominated the entire first round on the mat and didn't even appear to have to work that hard, but once the clock hit Round 2, Todorovic picked up the pace and Wright was toast. It's impossible for any fighter to have a successful UFC run with the lack of cardio Wright displayed here. Of course, with three straight defeats under his belt and just once win in his last five fights dating back to November 2020, the 31-year-old seems unlikely to get another chance with the company regardless. On the bright side, he'll take home an extra $50,000 after this back-and-forth affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Wright will face off against Dusko Todorovic at the UFC event on Oct. 15, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wright will look to earn his first victory since May of 2021 when he defeated Jamie Pickett via TKO. Since then, Wright has lost two straight fights at the hands of Bruno Silva and Marc-Andre Barriault, respectively. The Beverly Hills Ninja will look to get back on track in the middleweight division against Todorovic on Oct. 15.
Inconsistent ways continue

Wright lost to Marc-Andre Barriault via submission (guillotine choke) at 2:36 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Recognizing the last thing he wanted to do was get involved in a back-and-forth brawl with Barriault, Wright flipped the script and attempted to lean on his wrestling in search of a victory. It worked, for the most part, as he connected on two takedowns and racked up more than 90 seconds worth of control time in the brief bout, but he also left his neck exposed in one exchange along the fence, and that allowed Barriault to clamp on the guillotine choke that ended the fight. While the results have been mediocre (2-3), no one can say Wright doesn't provide plenty of action when he steps into the Octagon. All five of his fights have resulted in in stoppages, with four of the five ending in Round 1.
