Remains winless in UFC
BantamweightUFC
December 3, 2022
Rojo lost to Francis Marshall via KO (punches) at 1:14 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 24 on Saturday in Orlando.
ANALYSIS
It's a third straight stoppage defeat for Rojo to begin his UFC run, and one that will almost certainly end his time with the company. Facing an opponent with all of six professional fights under his belt, Rojo was the more effective fighter on the feet early on before one massive shot from Marshall six-plus minutes in led to the finish. Rojo joined the company in March 2021 with the reputation of being a solid all-around fighter, but it simply hasn't worked out. Set to turn 35 years of age next July, there's virtually no hope of a turnaround for Rojo.

Rojo will fight Francis Marshall at the UFC event December 3, Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be Rojo's first battle since being handed a medical suspension back in February after loosing to Kyler Phillips. The bantamweight is still searching for this first UFC victory. On the other hand, Marshall will make his UFC debut after recently being awarded an official UFC contract after his defeat of Connor Matthews in early August.
Out indefinitely with injury
BantamweightUFC
February 15, 2022
Rojo was handed an indefinite medical suspension for injuries suffered during his loss to Kyler Phillips on Saturday, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation doesn't release injury details as part of its suspensions, so it's unclear exactly what injury Rojo is dealing with or when he's expected to return. When Rojo does eventually return to the Octagon, he'll be looking to avoid an 0-3 start in his first three UFC fights.
Still searching for first UFC win
BantamweightUFC
February 12, 2022
Rojo lost to Kyler Phillips via submission (armbar) at 1:48 of Round 3 at UFC 271 on Saturday in Houston.
ANALYSIS
Rojo was the largest underdog on the entire card at +340, so it's not as if this result was unexpected. Try as he may, Rojo was outclassed in all aspects of this fight. The fact he appeared to be either unable or unwilling to check a leg kick didn't help matters as Phillips went to that well over and over and the end result was Rojo's movements being severely compromised. The early returns of Rojo's UFC run have been disastrous, as he has suffered back-to-back defeats to begin his time with the company. The 33-year-old Argentinean will find himself in must-win territory his next time out.

Rojo will take on Kyler Phillips in a bantamweight bout at UFC 271 on Feb. 12, Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.
ANALYSIS
Rojo has had some unfortunate luck as of later trying to get fights scheduled. He was supposed to fight at UFC Vegas 40 this week against Daniel Santos, but his opponent had to withdraw. Rojo las was in the Octagon back in March when he fell by TKO to Charles Jordain.

Rojo will not be fighting Daniel Santos at next week's UFC Vegas 40 after Santos was forced to withdraw for undisclosed reasons, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why Santos needed to withdraw but Rojo will in fact be rebooked for a different card. Rojo hasn't fought since he lost in March and has had some unfortunate luck this year with having fights canceled.
