Taisumov used his countering style well in Round 1, dropping his opponent to a knee with a big shot. Ferreira never stopped coming forward, however, and eventually wore Taisumov down to the point where he was landing consistently in the second and third frame. Taisumov was handed a six-month suspension by the USADA after testing positive for a banned substance, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports. Since the suspension is retroactive to October 8, Taisumov is eligible to fight as of Monday.

Taisumov only hurt Green one time, which came in the second round after an overhand right. Other than that he attempted to walk Green down, but wasn't able to corner him against the cage. He won mostly due to being the aggressor and landing a lot of body and leg kicks.
