Rick Glenn
The Gladiator
Shows warrior spirit in loss
November 30, 2018
Glenn lost to Kevin Aguilar via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30 27-30) at The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale in Las Vegas on Friday.
Glenn poured the pressure on Aguilar early, and was having success with body kicks until he ate a hard counter that forced him to his back foot. The fight followed a similar formula throughout, with Glenn having pockets of success and Aguilar landing the much harder shots, one of which dropped and almost finished Glenn in the third round. While he is a tough action fighter, Glenn doesn't quite have the power or the skill set to consistently win rounds, which will make his progression difficult. He falls to 21-6-1 as a result of the loss.

Glenn was added to replace Allen's original opponent, Gilbert Melendez, who is battling an unspecified injury. Glenn has a 21-5 record as a professional, winning three of five fights at the UFC level. Allen's record sits at 13-1, winning his last six fights, including four with the UFC.
Takes split decision from Dennis Bermudez Saturday in Boise
July 14, 2018
Glenn defeated Dennis Bermudez via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Boise, Idaho.
It was a typical gritty, ugly performance from Glenn. While he allowed Bermudez to connect on 6-of-14 takedown attempts, Glenn also did a nice job of limiting the damage he absorbed once he found himself on the mat. He was the more effective striker of the two and landed the cleaner, more fluid power shots throughout the course of the bout. Glenn isn't going to overwhelm anyone with his athleticism, but the Team Alpha Male product has a nice all-around skill set and he won't beat himself. Glenn is now 3-2 since debuting in the UFC in September 2016.
Struggles to get on track in loss to Myles Jury Saturday
December 30, 2017
Glenn lost to Myles Jury via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 219 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Glenn followed up his dominant performance over Gavin Tucker in September with a poor effort on Saturday. Granted, he was taking on a extremely talented young opponent in Jury, but Glenn was unable to get in a rhythm throughout the course of the fight and he looked a step slow against his speedy opponent. Glenn's biggest strengths are his grit and toughness and he is going to have a hard time against highly athletic opponents such as Jury. The Team Alpha Male product will be back in the near future.
To face Myles Jury in December
October 11, 2017
Glenn will face off against Myles Jury at UFC 219 on Dec. 30, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Glenn will return to the arena to take on Jury following a unanimous decision victory over Gavin Tucker at UFC 215 in early September. The former World Series of Fighting champion has won his last two UFC fights after dropping his debut just over a year ago to Evan Dunham in Texas. Looking ahead, Jury has only fought once since the beginning of 2016, which wound up being a successful TKO (punches) against Mike De La Torre in April.
Dominates top prospect Gavin Tucker at UFC 215
September 9, 2017
Glenn defeated Gavin Tucker via unanimous decision (30-25, 30-24, 29-27) at UFC 215 on Saturday in Edmonton.
It was a flawless performance from the former WSOF champion. Glenn did everything correctly in a fight in which his experience and fight IQ earned him the win. Glenn used his length advantage to batter Tucker throughout the course of the fight and every single time that Tucker managed to gain some momentum, Glenn easily switched up the game plan to snatch it right back. Glenn dropped his UFC debut to the uber-tough Evan Dunham a little less than a year ago, but he has won back-to-back fights since. He is a severely underrated member of the UFC roster.
