Sebring Run with PPM
IMSA
March 14, 2019
Precision Performance Motorsports has signed Aschenbach for this weekend's Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Aschenbach will join Brandon Gdovic and Don Yount at the wheel of the team's Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo for the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be Aschenbach's first IMSA action of 2019. He will join the PPM team that struggled to an 18th-place finish in class in the season-opening Rolex 24. Aschenbach is a seven-time sports car racing champion, and he has one victory and four podium finishes in his last three seasons of IMSA competition. He should give this new team a boost in this weekend's second round of the IMSA Weathertech season.
