Daytona Xfinity Series Start
XFINITY Series
February 4, 2019
Kennington is a fixture in Canada driving in the NASCAR Pinty's Series and as the only driver to start every race in the history of the series, but he also likes driving down south as well from time to time. The 41 year-old veteran returns to compete in the No. 99 car for owner BJ McLeod on February 16th in the season opener for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, motorsport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This is not a very surprising development. Despite Kennington's lack of full-time participation in NASCAR's top three touring series, he does have a good deal of experience racing at Daytona. The Canadian has made four Cup Series starts at the historic speedway, and he has three Xfinity starts at Daytona since the 2008 season. Kennington's best finish in this event was a 17th-place finish way back in 2009.
