Confirmed for Rolex 24
IMSA
November 19, 2020
Era Motorsport has confirmed that it will return to the Rolex 24 at Daytona next year with its LMP2-class Oreca 07 Gibson. Double European Le Mans Series champion Paul-Loup Chatin and 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner Dalziel will spearhead the entry, sharing driving duties with Era regulars Kyle Tilley and Dwight Merriman, sportscar365.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Era Motorsport competed in a partial schedule in 2020 due to an injury to driver Merriman. They finished third in class in last January's Rolex 24 and will look forward to competing in the prestigious enduro once again. Dalziel will be the cornerstone driver for this race team. The 38-year-old Scott has quite an impressive driving record and will give Era a good chance to compete for the Rolex 24 win in LMP2.
