PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Tim Howard / Brad Guzan, USA at HON ($5,100 / $5,000): The United States is playing on the road and needs a win, especially after last week's loss to Costa Rica. From what I saw in the Gold Cup, Honduras has serious problems finishing last touches, and if that trend continues, I can see some saves from whoever is in net for the United States plus a chance at a win and possible clean sheet.

Carlos Lampe, BOL v. CHL ($4,100): If you believe in narrative street then you know this game is special for Bolicia. They are already eliminated but will play this game to win it with the best team they have. Why? Chile and Peru went to FIFA and claimed that Bolivia used a player against them who didn't qualify to play, according to FIFA guidelines, and they were right. FIFA took away points earned from Bolivia in those matches and gave them to Chile and Peru. On the other hand, Chile surprisingly lost to Paraguay at home last week and are in a complicated situation now. They seem to do fine in the altitude of La Paz and this is a must win, which means Lampe will see some action and a chance for the win. Yes, revenge in soccer exists and it is a plus for Bolivia here.

DEFENDER

Mauricio Isla, CHL at BOL ($5,400): Chile needs to get back the three points they lost to Paraguay last week. It won't be an easy task because they will be playing in La Paz at an altitude of 16,730 feet above sea level, but Chile has performed well before there. I will be looking to Isla only if Yoshimar Yotun doesn't get the start for Peru. Don't forget to check confirmed lineups one hour before games lock.

Yoshimar Yotun, PER at ECU ($5,100): Yotun is a key player for coach Ricardo Gareca. He suffered a last minute injury and couldn't play against Bolivia last week but it looks like it wasn't that serious. He traveled with the team to Quito and there's a chance he will play. Yotun plays midfielder for Peru and takes set pieces for the team. He is involved in pretty much every play and for $5,100 at the defender position, we'll take it.

Miguel Trauco, PER at ECU ($3,700): Trauco plays for Flamengo in Brazil and sometimes he plays as a midfielder for his club. He likes going forward and is good at crossing the ball. His club teammate Paolo Guerrero is his teammate on the national team and coming back from suspension. Trauco likes feeding Guerrero with crosses in Flamengo and when they play together with Peru. Crosses and a potential assist for $3,700? Sign me up!

MIDFIELDER

Christian Pulisic, USA at HON ($9,400): If the United States comes through and gets the win you know Pulisic had a nice game. He is a very talented young player who will draw fouls, shoot when given the chance and could certainly find the back of the net.

Antonio Valencia, ECU v. PER ($6,800): This is a must-win for Ecuador and they are at home. Valencia will be crossing a lot and pushing his team since the first minute. It looks like Felipe Caicedo will get the start, meaning Valencia's crosses will try to find Felipao's head for that much needed goal.

Juan Carlos Arce, BOL v. CHL ($4,500): If you've played any CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier slates before then you know Arce is a lockwhen playing at home. He was suspended for the last game but he coming back fresh for this one. He likes pushing his team in the attack, and he takes set pieces. Remember, revenge in soccer exists and it is a plus for Bolivia here.

FORWARD

Neymar, BRA at COL ($10,900): Neymar does it all for Brazil. He performed well last time in Quito, another place with complicated weather conditions, and I expect a similar performance Tuesday against a Colombia side that needs a win to secure their spot into the World Cup.

Enner Valencia, ECU v. PER ($7,300): Ecuador fell to seventh place and if they don't get a win here they can start saying goodbye to their World Cup hopes. They will bring a strong attacking squad and Valencia will be very active from the start. Peru has never won in Quito and this is a nice spot for Ecuador to bounce back.

Gilbert Alvarez / Pablo Escobar, BOL v. CHL ($4,200 / $5,000): One of the two will start alongside Marcelo Martins in the attack. Alvarez has been scoring for Wilsterman, his club team, in almost every game, and last week he scored against Peru. Escobar is similar to Alvarez, the only difference is that he is well rested after a one-game suspension, he has better technique and sometimes takes direct free kicks.
