FPL Waiver Wire: Gameweek 1 Differentials

Your draft is done and it's time to figure out why you're going to lose this season. If you're in denial, now is when you figure out the players who could help others, but not your team. Working the waiver wire can often bring championships. That's because we don't know how some of the formations will look with new coaches and how much each player will see the field, especially for the three promoted sides.

Whether at Fantrax or the official Fantasy Premier League game, you have to dig deep to get an advantage over the opposition. It's easy to say that Liverpool and Man City players are the best routes to success, but that's what everyone is doing at FPL and you can only have so many elite players in a draft league. The first place to look for Gameweek 1 and beyond are the matchups because that's what matters most on a week-to-week basis.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MATCHUPS

If you know who's going to start in net for Bournemouth, it'd be wise to take a chance on him (Asmir Begovic? Artur Boruc?). With Sheffield and Aston Villa early, it'd be a surprise if the Cherries didn't lock down at least one clean sheet. Given that schedule, it's odd only a few of their players are widely owned, especially with how they've looked in the preseason, scoring three goals in their last three friendlies, two of which came against Lazio and Lyon.
