Fantasy Premier League Rankings: Top Goalkeepers

This article is part of our Fantasy Premier League Rankings series.

We're now less than a week away from kickoff to the 2015/16 Premier League season, which means it's time we start finalizing the rosters we'll be using in season-long games. We've already discussed some strategies for draft formats, while also hitting on auctions. These rankings reflect our writers' opinions on season-long salary cap formats, such as the Premier League's official game and ESPN's Premier Fantasy, though they can also be used as cheatsheets for draft or auction leagues (just note that the rankings were based on the official FPL scoring, so if your league has a different points setup, please feel free to leave a question below and we'll be sure to get back to you quickly).

We'll kick off with the goalkeepers, who are the smallest group that we've ranked. Points were assigned to each player based on their ranking by each contributor: 10 points for a first place vote, nine points for a second place vote, eight points for a third place vote and so on.

Lukasz Fabianski was the highest scoring keeper in the Premier League's official game last season, with 10th place Julian Speroni finishing 36 points behind, which is an average of less than one point per fantasy gameweek. Our advice: don't overthink, or more importantly overpay, for a goalkeeper. You may get the best, but you're likely best spending the money elsewhere.
