All bow to the great, wonderful Sergio Aguero. It was a rough couple weeks when Aguero was suspended, but now that he's back, we can relax a little.
In his return to Premier League action, Aguero was his usual self, scoring twice and earning full bonus points.
If you decided to back his fantasy nemesis – Zlatan Ibrahimovic – well, it didn't work out, despite the Red Devils tallying four times.
Liverpool were also at their peak over the weekend with three midfielders reaching double-digit fantasy points at the official Premier League game: Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and James Milner.
But for those that stayed away from the consensus top-two captain options, Alexis Sanchez once again produced for the Gunners and Kevin De Bruyne assisted twice more, though it came at a price, as he will miss 3-4 weeks due to a hamstring injury.
Last but not least, my prediction of a Romelu Lukaku goose egg finally worked. You're welcome.
The upcoming gameweek involves the usual suspects, though Aguero matching his recent production may be a little difficult at White Hart Lane. Tottenham have allowed just three goals all season, so that's a worry for anyone giving Aguero the armband. Then again, Aguero is Aguero and City are dominating everyone at the moment.
The opening Friday night match will be on plenty of radars with Everton hosting Crystal Palace. Lukaku will look to get back on track against a side that has allowed two goals in each of their last two road matches (EFL Cup included).
However, this may be the perfect time to captain Ibrahimovic once more, with United hosting Stoke City. Ibra came up short last weekend, but against a club that has allowed 15 goals through six matches, he is in good shape to find the back of the net.
Speaking of clubs that have allowed a lot of goals, West Ham have completely fallen off the rails and have allowed at least three goals in each of their last four matches. Obviously, it'll be hard to trust anyone on Middlesbrough, but Alvaro Negredo and Cristhian Stuani can be used as contrarian plays.
Arsenal are at Burnley, which is trickier than it seems, as Burnley have allowed eight goals this season, but only two at home. Alexis probably isn't the safest of options because of that, but with the way the Gunners are playing, it's hard to argue with captaining him.
More popular choices include the usual mess of Liverpool midfielders as they travel to a Swansea side that is free falling since an opening win.
As for Chelsea, they're struggling, but Diego Costa can't be forgotten about in a trip to Hull City. In their last home match, Hull allowed four goals to Arsenal.
My super contrarian plays are on the defensive end. United are in a good spot for a clean sheet home against Stoke, which makes their back line intriguing, especially Daley Blind (as long as he's not dropped for Luke Shaw), who had two assists last time out.
Leicester also deserves to be mentioned, having allowed just one goal in three home matches. My only worry is that Southampton are cruising, having won four straight and not allowing a goal in any of those matches (Thursday's game at Hapoel not included). But hey, Christian Fuchs can be looked at in hopes of a clean sheet, or if you like forwards, Jamie Vardy and Islam Slimani are still there.
