Fact Checked By: Josh Collacchi

Yes. Indiana passed a bill to allow sports betting in September 2019 and wagering started in October with online betting launching a couple months later.

Indiana had double-digit sportsbooks a few months after legalizing and new ones open by the month because all casinos and off-track-betting locations have the opportunity to apply for sports betting licenses. Most of the of the physical sportsbooks are partnered with online outlets to offer mobile wagering. Unlike a few states, Indiana sportsbooks does not require players to sign up at sportsbooks to wager online. In order to download and use licensed apps, you have to be 21 years old.

Daily Fantasy Sports have operated in Indiana for the majority of existence and a bill was passed in 2016 to legalize them.
