Jackson announced Monday that he has committed to East Carolina, joining the program as a graduate transfer from Arkansas, Stephen Igoe of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
East Carolina marks the fourth and final Division I stop for Jackson, who began his career at Connecticut in 2016-17 before transferring to New Mexico following his true freshman season. After two years with the Lobos, Jackson moved on to Arkansas, with whom he averaged 3.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.6 minutes per game over his 26 appearances as a fifth-year senior in 2020-21. The 6-foot-9, 230-pound post player should carve out a larger role with the Pirates, potentially stepping in to fill the scoring and rebounding void in the frontcourt that was created when Jayden Gardner elected to transfer to Virginia earlier in the offseason.
