Not expected to play for Canada
Sillinger isn't expected to be loaned to Team Canada for the 2023 World Junior Championship, per Scott Wheeler of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Sillinger has two goals and five points in 24 games with Columbus this season. He'd serve in a major role if he was loaned to Canada, especially compared to the 12:57 of ice time Sillinger's averaging with the Blue Jackets, but Columbus likely feels that the experience gained from playing in the NHL is worth more than the increased minutes.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Selected No. 12 overall by Columbus in the 2021 Draft, Sillinger immediately stepped into the lineup as an 18-year-old and performed exceptionally well given his youth. He finished the year with 16 goals and 31 points in 79 games. Sillinger's minus-22 rating was horrific and the Jackets were careful about not overloading him with too much playing time, but both of those things will correct themselves over time. It will be interesting to see how much Columbus is willing to increase Sillinger's role this coming season. He's unquestionably one of the organization's most valuable long-term assets, although he's still a better keeper/dynasty prospect than redraft pick.
