Win streak snapped at three
FeatherweightUFC
April 30, 2022
Gordon lost to Grant Dawson via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:11 of Round 3 at UFC on ESPN 35 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Gordon has struggled with durability during his UFC run, and while he hung around for better than 14 minutes in this one, he wasn't able to see the final bell. Of course, the end result wasn't in doubt, so it didn't make much of a difference either way. Gordon made some real headway on the feet over the course of the final nine-plus minutes, landing 89 total strikes compared to just 47 from Dawson. Gordon's downfall was his takedown defense, as he allowed his opponent to land 7-of-17 attempts. The submission defeat was the first of his professional career. Gordon is 33 years of age and has quite a limited ceiling, but he's 6-4 in his first ten UFC bouts and has some value for a company which holds an event most every week.

Gordon will now take on Grant Dawson on April 30 after Rafael Alves withdrew for undisclosed reasons Friday, John Morgan of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon will be looking to stretch his winning streak to four, having defeated Chris Fishgold, Danny Chavez and Joe Solecki by decision in his last three fights. Dawson is undefeated in his six-fight UFC career, winning his first five matches before drawing Ricky Glenn in his most recent trip to the Octagon.
Set to face Rafael Alves

Gordon will fight Rafael Alves on April 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport Nederland reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon will be looking to stretch his winning streak to four, having recently scored decision victories over Chris Fishgold, Danny Chavez and Joe Solecki. That stretch followed a run in which he won just once in four matches. In Alves, he'll face and opponent in the early stages of his UFC career. Alves has a win and a loss through two fights with the promotion.
Takes razor-thin split decision
FeatherweightUFC
October 2, 2021
Gordon defeated Joe Solecki via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Both men had their moments in what was a close fight throughout. Gordon got progressively better as the fight went along, which typically earns you favorable marks in the eyes of the judges. Gordon was on the wrong end of a 35-6 strike count in Round 1, but he turned the tables and ended up out landing Solecki 77-35 over the course of the final ten minutes. The fact Gordon allowed Solecki to connect on four takedown attempts in a concern, but Gordon did enough in the other areas of the fight to earn the win. The 33-year-old New Yorker was wildly inconsistent during his early days with the company, but Gordon has won four of his past five fights, with the only defeat coming at the hands of current UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira back in November 2019.
Slated to face Solecki in October
FeatherweightUFC
June 7, 2021
Gordon will take on Joe Solecki at a UFC event scheduled for Oct. 2, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon missed weight by four pounds for his fight in February but still defeated Danny Chavez via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 19. He's now won back-to-back fights and will now face Solecki, who has won his last three matchups. Solecki most recently defeated Jim Miller via unanimous decision at UFC on ABC 2 in April. The fighters are even in height, but Solecki has a reach advantage.
