Drops decision in Vegas
Lookboonmee lost to Loopy Godinez via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was a tad closer than the scorecards would lead you to believe, but the result was quite clear from the start. Lookboonmee had all sorts of difficulty with the physicality and wrestling game of Godinez. She allowed five successful takedowns for more than seven minutes worth of control time, although Loma wasn't in a ton of trouble on the mat. Still, every second she spent on her back was one in which she couldn't generate offense of her own. Although Lookboonmee is just 25 years old, she has little power in her hands and has displayed no real ground game to date. The odds are against her going on any sort of run despite her youth.

Takes decision from Sam Hughes
Lookboonmee defeated Sam Hughes via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Lookboonmee won quite easily despite not looking the part of a -400 favorite -- the biggest on the entire card. Blessed with a significant edge in terms of grappling skill and body control, Lookboonmee managed to land four successful takedowns on the larger Hughes over the course of the first two rounds. She also connected on the more effective strikes despite the overall striking numbers being close. Lookboonmee's biggest issue was the fact Hughes kept her pinned against the cage for extended periods of time. That's an issue to keep an eye on moving forward considering Lookboonmee checks in at just 5-foot-1. She has now won two in a row and three of her first four UFC bouts, with each one going to a decision.
