Munhoz is ranked No. 10 in the UFC's bantamweight rankings and trying to redeem himself after suffering a short-notice decision loss at the hands of Marlon Vera. As for Phillips, he will try to continue his positive momentum, established with a 5-1 record across his first six UFC fights.

ANALYSIS
It was a complete, highly encouraging performance from Phillips. He was the faster, better boxer, as expected, but his grappling game was very encouraging. He defended 8-of-11 Barcelos takedown attempts, and in the three he gave up, he limited the Brazilian's ability to remain in a dominant position and inflict damage. Still just 28 years of age, the MMA Lab product has very quietly racked up a 5-1 record in his first half-dozen UFC bouts. It remains to be seen how Kyler will fare against better opposition, but the early returns have been excellent.

ANALYSIS
After Said Nurmagomedov withdrew due to undisclosed reasons, Raoni Barcelos stepped in to fight Phillips at UFC Nashville. The 28-year-old American, who most recently defeated Marcelo Rojo at UFC 271, is 4-1 during his time with the UFC.

ANALYSIS
Phillips hasn't entered the Octagon since November of 2022 and is in the midst of a six-month suspension handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission from when he tested positive for ostarine in March. Nurmagomedov is 4-1 over his last five fights, most recently losing to Jonathan Martinez via unanimous decision in March. Phillips has a slight advantage in reach, while the two fighters are even in height.
