It's extremely difficult to last the entire 15 minutes and look as bad as Carnelossi did in this one. To say she had nothing for Godinez would be a massive understatement. Carnelossi submitted Istela Nunes in her most recent bout last October on the strength of some strong mat work, but the script was flipped here as Godinez landed all eight of her takedown attempts, good for 13:26 worth of control time. This was a such a bad performance that any good will Carnelossi had built up with victories in her prior two fights has completely evaporated.

The Brazilian has been known as a stand-up fighter throughout the course of her career, so it was nice to see her showcase some different skills in order to secure the win in this one.
