Gets no help from judges in defeat
Edwards lost to Nora Cornolle via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was very fortunate to earn a split decision win over Lucie Pudilova after missing weight this past April. There's absolutely a case to be made she deserved to win this fight, and it's surprising not one of the three judgers scored it for her. Edwards was clearly outclassed on the feet, but she also landed 5-of-8 takedown attempts, good for 8:42 worth of control time. She had no less than 2:47 worth of control time in each of the three rounds. Often, that's more than enough to get the call. The defeat snaps a three-fight winning streak for the 27-year-old Edwards.

ANALYSIS
Edwards, who most recently took down Lucie Pudilova, will face off against newcomer Nora Cornolle in September. The 27-year-old fighter currently maintains a three-fight winning streak (3-2 in the UFC).

Gets help from judges in win
Edwards defeated Lucie Pudilova via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC on ESPN 44 on Saturday in Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
This should have been a disastrous past 36 hours for Edwards. She came in half a pound heavy on Friday morning, marking the second straight bout she failed to make weight. Edwards forfeited 20 percent of her purse to Pudliova in order for the fight to proceed. She should have also walked away with a loss on her record, but two of the three judges inexplicably felt she did enough to win. Edwards improves to 4-2 in her first six UFC bouts, but the company typically has little patience for fighters with back-to-back weight misses. Edwards will almost certainly be forced to move up to featherweight her next time out.

Fight on after missing weight
Edwards will forfeit 20 percent of her purse after she came in a half-pound overweight for her bantamweight matchup with Lucie Pudilova at UFC Kansas City on Saturday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards initially weighed in one pound over at 137 pounds and was only able to shed a half-pound by using the privacy weigh-in box. It's not a massive miss but has more significance since it's the second straight bout she's missed weight. She's coming off a split-decision victory over Ji Yeon Kim in July and has won her past two bouts after losing her first two fights in the UFC.
