Remains perfect in UFC

December 16, 2023
Pimblett defeated Tony Ferguson via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 296 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A clean sweep on the judges' scorecards looks great, but outside of a dominant first round, this was an underwhelming performance from Paddy. He appeared to have Ferguson finished multiple times the first frame but couldn't close the show. Pimblett generated very little offense over the course of the final ten minutes, mostly hanging out in Tony's guard and scoring control time. Paddy also appeared visibly exhausted to the point he would have been in significant trouble had he not been able to get the fight to the mat in Round 3. There's still little to suggest Paddy is any sort of legitimate contender despite the fact he has won each of his first five UFC bouts.

Pimblett will fight Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 on Dec. 16th according to Dana White.
ANALYSIS
The Baddy is officially back after missing extended time recovering from ankle surgery. While Pimblett is a rising star with his 4-0 record in the UFC, his last victory over Jared Gordon was hardly impressive, so he'll have plenty to prove after so much time away from the Octagon.

Pimblett (ankle) will remain out until late 2023 while he recovers from ankle surgery, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pimblett, who sustained the ankle injury during his fight with Jared Gordon in December, will remain sidelined for most of 2023. The up-and-coming 28-year-old fighter will look to bounce back from the injury and defend his perfect 4-0 UFC record later this year.

Pimblett (ankle) has revealed that he needs ankle surgery, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pimblett is unlikely to fight at UFC 286 in London after revealing that he will need to undergo ankle surgery before his next fight. Pimblett sustained the injury during his most recent victory over Jared Gordon in December. The 28-year-old fighter who currently holds a record of 4-0 in the UFC, is likely to pursue events further in the future to allow more recovery time.
Luckiest man in Vegas

Pimblett defeated Jared Gordon via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 282 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Forget whomever won the progressive on a slot machine at a casino, the luckiest man in Vegas this evening was "Paddy The Baddy." It's impossible to figure out how even one judge scored this fight for Pimblett, let alone all three. Paddy was beaten up on the feet in Round 1 and plastered to the fence for nearly the entirety of Round 3. If you squint, perhaps Pimblett deserved Round 2, but it's impossible to make a case for more. Paddy ended up on the short end of a 100-97 count in total strikes landed, while Gordon landed the only three takedowns of the fight, good for 6:28 worth of control time. Good luck finding anyone -- other than the three guys that mattered -- that thought Paddy deserved the win here. This fight is going to be talked about for quite a while. For better or worse, Paddy improves to 4-0 in the UFC.
Facing Jared Gordon in December

October 22, 2022
Pimblett will take on Jared Gordon in a lightweight bout at UFC 282 in Las Vegas on Dec. 10, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pimblett will be making just his fourth appearance as a UFC fighter, but his time with the promotion could hardly have gone better thus far. He finished his first two opponents in the first round before scoring a second-round submission win over Jordan Leavitt in July. His opponent, Gordon, has 11 UFC fights to his name, winning four of his last five.
