Racing Saturday
XFINITY Series
May 21, 2022
Iwuji is set to race in Saturday's Xfinity event despite missing the qualifying race due to a naval obligation, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Iwuji initially missed the qualifying race due to a naval obligation that would typically exclude him from participating in Saturday's event, though NASCAR made an exemption for Iwuji due to the unique circumstance of his military obligation Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports. Iwuji's car qualified thanks to driver Kyle Weatherman who sat in during the former's absence, though Weatherman will sit out Saturday due to Iwuji's return to action.

NASCAR Draft Kit: 2023 Xfinity Rankings
January 16, 2023
With Ty Gibbs, Noah Gragson, and AJ Allmendinger all headed to the Cup Series, Mark Taylor ranks the drivers who will step up for the 2023 Xfinity Series season.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Iwuji split his Chevrolet with Weatherman last season. It looks like the same arrangement could be in store for 2023. Weatherman had the most success, making 18 starts and grabbing one Top-10 and 10 Top-20 finishes. Iwuji isn't quite as experienced and polished as Weatherman, so the level of performance dropped in his 11 starts, although he did produce a surprising 11th-place finish in the summer Daytona race. Iwuji would like to eventually expand into two race teams, but that's not likely to happen in 2023. Instead, he'll just focus on better racing and getting the No. 34 entry more competitive.
