Heat Notch Fourth Straight Win
The Miami Heat defeated the visiting Toronto Raptors, 116-108, at American Airlines Arena on Wednesday evening.

The contest got out to a high-scoring start with the Raptors holding a, 35-32, lead after one quarter. The Heat picked it up in the second and outscored the visitors by 13 points in the quarter to grab a 10-point lead by halftime. The Raptors came out stronger again in the third, but the Heat stayed in control and hung on to a seven-point lead heading into the final frame. The Raptors kept fighting through the fourth and cut it to a two-point game, with just over five minutes to go in the contest, but the Heat closed on a, 16-10, run to secure their fourth straight win, while this marks the second straight loss for the Raptors.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 27 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, three steals and a block, in 34 minutes. Bam Adebayo added 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block, while Duncan Robinson chipped in 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal. The Heat shot 46 percent from the field, including 17-of-38 from long range.

Meanwhile, Fred VanVleet totaled 24 points, seven assists and four rebounds, while Kyle Lowry finished with 24 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals, to lead the Raptors. Norman Powell added 17 points, three assists and a steal, while O.G. Anunoby added 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

The Raptors (17-16) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Rockets on Friday. The Heat (15-17) play host to the Jazz on Friday.
