FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

GUARDS

James Harden, HOU at POR ($11,200): It's hard to pass up on someone as reliable as Harden, and he's been the best player in fantasy this season. Harden is averaging 53.6 fantasy points per game, as he's scored at least 36 fantasy points in every game this year. The Blazers have no backcourt players who can match up with Harden, and that was borne out in his numbers against Portland last season, when he averaged 31.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

Nicolas Batum, CHA vs. LAL ($6,400): Batum has been slow to bounce back after an elbow injury to start the year, but the last few games shows that he's ready to break out. In fact, Batum has played at least 35 minutes in four straight games, as he's averaging over 32 fantasy points across his last three games. Most importantly, he faces a Lakers defense that's allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards across their last five games. At just $6,400, a 30-point floor like the one Batum possesses is simply too enticing to pass up on in such a good matchup.

Alec Burks, UTA at MIL ($5,100): Not many players have had as many injury issues as Burks in recent years, but he's actually playing some great ball coming off of Utah's bench. What's made him so much better recently is the fact that Rodney Hood continues to miss games, as that makes Burks the go-to scorer off the bench. Burks actually has at least 20 fantasy points in eight straight games, while averaging 30.4 fantasy points per game in that span. That's incredible value for a player barely cracking $5,000 and he could have some success against a weak bench like Milwaukee's.

FORWARDS

Brandon Ingram, LAL at CHA ($7,300): Ingram is currently in the midst of the best stretch of his career. He's averaging 19.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game over his last 10 contests, while putting up 15.2 shots per game and posting a career-high usage rate. T

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, CHA vs. LAL ($5,200): MKG is not the sort of player who will jump off the page when looking at the stat sheet, but he's a solid DFS option who's playing some great ball right now. In fact, Kidd-Gilchrist has at least 27 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and he's regularly playing over 30 minutes per game.

Ryan Anderson, HOU at POR ($4,400): Anderson is always a risky pick, but he becomes a much more trustworthy option when his shot is falling the way it is right now. Over his last five games, Anderson has surpassed 28 fantasy points per game, as he's up to 22 fantasy points per game for the season. That's unbelievable production from a $4,400 player and this sort of upside at this price is hard to find.

CENTERS

Rudy Gobert, UTA at MIL ($7,400): The fact that Gobert just returned from a knee injury makes him a risky option, but it's also lowered his price to an affordable $7,400. What makes him such an attractive option here is the matchup, as he faces a Milwaukee team that ranks dead last in rebounding. In addition, the Bucks are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing centers, as they simply have one of the weakest position groups in the league.

Richaun Holmes, PHI at CLE ($4,300): With Joel Embiid being rested for this game, Holmes automatically becomes one of the best value plays of the day. What adds to the intrigue is the fact that Dario Saric may sit out too, which would leave Holmes as one of only a few available big men. Holmes balls out when given the opportunity, as his per-36 career averages come to 16 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks per game.
