DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

After a night off Monday, the NBA returns Tuesday with 13 games on the schedule. With so many options to choose from, let's get right down to business and discuss some players who could help you win some money on DraftKings.

Guards

Donovan Mitchell, UTA vs. LAL ($7,600): Mitchell continues to provide steady production for the Jazz, scoring at least 32.3 DraftKings points in each of his last 15 games. His 29% usage rate ranks inside the top 20 in the league, so he's going to have a high floor most nights. The Lakers play at the fastest pace (102.8 possessions per game) in the league, so expect Mitchell to have plenty of opportunities to provide value again Tuesday.

Trey Burke, NY vs. ORL ($6,600): Burke has started each of the last four games for the Knicks, scoring at least 31 DraftKings points all four times. He's now played at least 27 minutes in five straight contests and should continue to see plenty of action down the stretch. The Magic allow the most DraftKings points per game (49) to opposing point guards, making Burke a viable option for your entry at this reasonable price.

Malik Monk, CHA at CHI ($3,900): The Hornets made a push to stay in it, but finally saw their faint hopes dashed as they are now officially eliminated from playoff contention. With nothing left to play for, Monk could see extended playing time as the season comes to a close. He logged at least 24 minutes in both of his last two games, scoring at least 22.3 DraftKings points in both contests. The Bulls backcourt is thin right now and they have struggled defensively, so it might be worth taking a chance on Monk in tournament play.

Forwards

Ben Simmons, PHI vs. BKN ($9,600): The Sixers will be shorthanded again Tuesday with Joel Embiid (eye) and Dario Saric (elbow) out for the second straight game. Simmons excelled with them both sidelined Sunday against the Hornets, finishing with 63.5 DraftKings points. The Nets allow the third-most points per game (110.5) in the league, leaving Simmons with tremendous upside again Tuesday.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN at PHI ($7,000): The Nets don't own their first round pick in the 2018 draft, so tanking hard doesn't benefit them. Hollis-Jefferson is still seeing plenty of playing time as a result, logging at least 30 minutes in eight straight games. He hasn't let that go to waste, scoring at least 30.3 DraftKings points in seven of those contests. He scored 45.5 DraftKings points against the Sixers in their last meeting in the middle of March and could be primed for another big performance based on their depth issues Tuesday.

Ersan Ilyasova, PHI vs. BKN ($5,600): Ilyasova started and played 27 minutes with Saric out Sunday, scoring 24.3 DraftKings points. He took eight shots in that contest, seven of which came from behind the arc. Both the Sixers and the Nets are in the top seven in the league in pace of play, so Ilyasova could provide value for your entry based on his expanded role.

Centers

LaMarcus Aldridge, SA at LAC ($8,900): The Spurs are 8-2 in their last 10 games and a lot of that has to do with Aldridge's excellent play. He continues to carry their offense with Kawhi Leonard (quad) out, resulting in a 29.2% usage rate that ranks 18th in the league. He has scored at least 45.8 DraftKings points in seven of his last eight games and should have plenty of chances to produce again Tuesday against the Clippers, who play at the sixth-fastest pace (101.1) in the league.

Marquese Chriss, PHO vs. SAC ($5,900): The Suns are dealing with several injuries to key players, including T.J. Warren (knee) being listed as doubtful and Alex Len (ankle) being listed as questionable Tuesday. Both players have missed each of the last three games, resulting in Chriss playing at least 30 minutes and scoring at least 36.8 DraftKings points in each contest. If Warren and Len both can't play Tuesday, Chriss could provide excellent value at this price.

Willy Hernangomez, CHA at CHI ($3,800): Hernangomez is getting a chance to play more down the stretch, logging at least 17 minutes in three of the last four games. He's largely produced when given added playing time, scoring at least 23.8 DraftKings points in each of the last five games that he has spent at least 17 minutes on the floor. The Bulls allow the sixth-most DraftKings points per game (53.2) to opposing centers, leaving Hernangomez as someone to consider if you want to go really cheap at the position.
