RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Evans is questionable to return after limping off the field Thursday against Hamilton, Jamie Nye of News Talk 980 CJME reports.

Evans' injury remains unclear but it's enough that he's being looked at by trainers. Devon Bailey, normally a depth receiver, looks to be seeing some extra reps in place of Evans for the time being. If Evans can't return he should be considered questionable for the Roughriders next game, Week 6 against Hamilton.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Evans caught three passes for 77 yards in Saturday's 23-17 loss to Montreal.

Evans got off to a hot start with a 35-yard reception near the end of the first quarter as his first catch. The UCLA product would see three unsuccessful targets and a quarterback change before coming down with his final two grabs early in the second half. Although he did not play Week 1, the rookie has seen at least five targets in Weeks 2 and 3. He will look to capitalize on this momentum as Saskatchewan returns home to face Hamilton in Week 4.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Evans hauled in four receptions for 56 yards in the Roughriders' 40-17 loss to the Redblacks on Thursday.

The former UCLA Bruin's four catches were the first of his CFL career, and they also paced the Roughriders on the night. The 27-year-old sports good size at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, so he could certainly carve out a solid role in the Saskatchewan air attack. However, he should find plenty of competition for targets from Caleb Holley, Naaman Roosevelt and Duron Carter, whenever he does line up on offense. Evans will look to build on his strong performance in Week 3 against the Alouettes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Evans signed a contract with the Roughriders on Thursday.

Evans was a fourth-round pick of the NFL back in 2014, spending time with the Jets, Jaguars, Patriots and Cowboys. However, he's since washed out of the league and will look to resurface in the CFL. The 6-foot-1 wideout will have to battle for a prominent role during camp, so for now, he's simply another body to keep an eye on prior to the regular season.
