Cross tallied five receptions for 46 yards in the Argonauts' 16-15 loss to the Eskimos on Friday.

The 24-year-old fullback continues to be used exclusively in a pass-catching capacity, as he's yet to log a carry through the season's first four games. However, Cross has posted at least two catches in each contest, with Friday's season-high tally bringing his total to 13. His lack of involvement in the running game limits his fantasy value significantly, but Cross remains a low-cost GPP punt play in DFS contests due to his occasional usage in the passing attack.

Cross agreed to an extension that will keep him with the Argonauts through the 2020 season, The Sports Network reports.

Cross was a big part of Toronto's success this past season, as he recorded 36 catches for 366 yards and finished third on the team with five receiving scores. During the Grey Cup victory over Calgary in November, Cross caught a pair of two-point conversions, which helped the Argonauts claim the title by a score of 27-24. Cross isn't much of a runner, as he tallied just two rushing attempts all season, but he was an integral part of James Wilder Jr. and Brandon Whitaker's success in 2017.

Cross logged five receptions for 36 yards and caught a pair of two-point conversion passes in Sunday's 27-24 Grey Cup win over the Stampeders.

The versatile running back didn't log any rushing touches, but his contributions in the passing game were important to the Grey Cup win. Cross caught two-point conversion passes after James Wilder's third-quarter two-yard touchdown run and Cassius Vaughn's 109-yard touchdown fumble return, with the latter knotting the game at 24 with 4:35 remaining. The 24-year-old saw only two carries all season, but he was a pleasant surprise through the air with 36 receptions for 366 yards and five touchdowns. He'll likely serve in a similar capacity while also helping clear running lanes for backfield mate James Wilder, Jr. in 2018.

Cross caught two passes for five yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 30-27 loss to Edmonton.

His two-yard grab with 3:30 left on the clock looked like it might hold up as the game-winner before Mike Reilly led Edmonton on one more TD drive inside the final minute of the game. The second-year Canadian has emerged as a reliable outlet option for Argos quarterback Ricky Ray, catching multiple passes in eight of the last nine games, but his fantasy value remains limited to the occasional touchdown.

Cross lost two yards on his sole rush but caught six passes for 43 yards in Saturday's 27-24 loss to the Roughriders.

The fullback enjoyed a surprisingly robust role in the Toronto passing attack, checking in second only to backfield mate James Wilder in receptions on the night. The 24-year-old hadn't logged more than two catches in any game since Week 9, but he served as a trusted outlet option for QB Ricky Ray on multiple occasions Saturday. Despite the solid production, however, Cross' share of the Argonauts' passing attack is typically much more modest, taking him out of fantasy consideration overall.

Cross caught two passes for 40 yards in Saturday's 23-7 loss to the Stampeders.

Over the last three games, the second-year fullback has caught 10 passes for 97 yards and a TD. Cross has yet to receive a carry in his career and still isn't seeing enough action to be a viable fantasy play, but with Anthony Coombs (shoulder) potentially out for the season, there are plenty of targets out of the Argos' backfield up for grabs, and Cross' role could continue to grow as he gains Ricky Ray's trust.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Cross posted five receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 38-6 win over the Als.

Cross continues to increase his profile in the Toronto offense, as he's now upped his reception and yardage total in each of the last two weeks. The 24-year-old has at least one catch in five straight contests as well and has gotten into the end zone twice overall in his first second CFL campaign. While he's down the list in terms of potential targets for quarterback Ricky Ray, Cross appears to slowly be carving out a niche in an air attack that's built to accommodate multiple pass catchers.
