RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins caught four passes for 25 yards in Saturday's 41-19 loss to Winnipeg.

Collins was targeted seven times, the last of which was a catch for no gain. The 26-year-old has at least two catches in each game this season but has yet to garner more than 37 yards in a contest. He is as good a candidate as any Lions receiver to have a big week, but those could be few and far between until the team's quarterbacks begin to play more consistently. The Lions will get another chance at the Blue Bombers at home in Week 5.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins secured two catches for 37 yards in the Lions' 41-22 loss to the Eskimos on Friday.

The 26-year-old could have had a much bigger night had Jonathon Jennings not overthrown him on a deep pass down the left sideline in the first half. Collins has now posted two receptions in each of the Lions' first two games, although they've gone for only 54 yards overall. He did demonstrate some upside back in his first CFL season in 2016 with the Roughriders, when he posted 48 receptions for 720 yards and two touchdowns. It remains to be seen if he enjoys the same degree of opportunity in BC, and Jonathon Jennings' inconsistent play could also limit his overall production. Collins will look to boost his numbers up in a Week 4 matchup against the Blue Bombers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins signed a contract with the Lions on Thursday.

Collins spent the 2016 with the Roughriders, where he appeared in 14 games and recorded 48 catches for 720 yards and two touchdowns before being traded to the Tiger-Cats. He was most recently released by the team in September, but will now look to return to form in 2018 with BC.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins was released by the Tiger-Cats on Tuesday.

The team acquired Collins from the Roughriders just several weeks before his release. He's bounced around the league throughout the years, even spending time with the NFL's Green Bay Packers back in 2015. Prior to being traded to Hamilton, Collins had played in 15 games with the Roughriders, posting 48 receptions for 720 yards and two trips to the endzone.

September 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins is not on the depth chart for Friday's matchup with the Roughriders.

Collins was buried on the depth chart the last couple weeks, and this week he will not be on it at all, so he will have to wait to make his first impact as a Tiger-Cat.

September 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins (shoulder) is listed as a reserve slotback for Monday's game against the Argonauts.

Collins has not suited up since being acquired by the Tiger-Cats in mid-August, but he is ready to get back on the field this week. Given his spot on the depth chart, however, it remains to be seen what type of role he will play out of the gate for his new squad.

August 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins was traded from the Roughriders to the Tiger-Cats in exchange for DE Mike McAdoo on Friday, Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com reports.

Collins has seen the field just once this season, suffering a shoulder injury during the season-opener against the Alouettes. Last season, the 25-year-old appeared in 14 games, catching 48 passes for 720 yards and two touchdowns.

August 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins (shoulder) will not play in Sunday's game against the Lions.

Collins practiced Wednesday and had a chance to play Sunday for the first time since Week 1, but the Roughriders will take advantage of a bye in Week 9 and give him two more weeks to recover while missing only one game. He will have a chance to get back on the field with the Roughriders take on the Eskimos in Week 10.

August 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins (shoulder) took part in Wednesday's practice, Taylor Shire of Global Regina reports.

Collins has been sidelined since injuring his shoulder in Week 1, but it appears he is close to returning to action for the Roughriders. It remains to be seen if he will play in this week's matchup with the Lions, but if he does not, it seems likely he would be ready to go following Saskatchewan's Week 9 bye.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins was placed on the six-game injured list after suffering a shoulder injury in Thursday's loss to the Alouettes, according to the Regina Leader-Post.

Collins barely had a chance to get his 2017 season underway before leaving with his injury. It's not yet clear how long he will be sidelined, but the Roughriders will need a new return man in his absence, and will be forced to lean on their wide receiver depth early on.

June 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins (undisclosed) is listed as the top return man and as a reserve slotback on the Roughriders' depth chart for Week 1.

The minor injury Collins has dealt with of late will not prevent him from playing in Week 1. However, even with a couple fellow receivers unable to play, he will not occupy a key spot on the depth chart, and most of his opportunities figure to come on kickoff and punt returns.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins is dealing with an undisclosed injury, according to the Regina Post-Leader, and did not play in the Roughriders' first exhibition game.

Both the nature and extent of Collins' setback are uncertain, so it remains to be seen if his injury will threaten his availability for Week 1.

November 4, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins was placed on the one-game injured list in advance of Saturday's game against the Lions.

Collins played a key role for the Roughriders the last several weeks, but he will not suit up for the team's season finale. With Collins out, Rob Bagg, Caleb Holley, and Phil Bates will be the Roughriders' starting slotbacks in Week 20.

October 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins totaled 67 yards on six catches, gained 41 yards on four punt returns, totaled 36 yards on two kickoff returns and added 38 yards on a missed field goal return in Saturday's 24-6 loss to the Lions.

Collins got the start at slotback while also serving as the primary returner and parlayed the extensive opportunity into a stellar all-around performance. The 24-year-old's reception total equaled his second highest of the season, while the four punt returns represented his first appearance in that area of the stat sheet this season. Given his success Saturday despite the dismal loss, Collins could well be the beneficiary of similar opportunities in the Week 20 finale.

October 28, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins will start at slotback and serve as the Roughriders' return man in Saturday's game against the Lions.

Collins will move from wide receiver to slotback this week, and he will also return both kicks and punts with Joe Craig on the practice squad this week.

October 16, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins caught seven passes for 113 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win over the Argos.

After spending four weeks on IR with an undisclosed injury, Collins looked rejuvenated in his return to the lineup, posting his first 100-yard game and first TD since Week 3. Given the depleted nature of the Riders' depth chart at WR, expect Collins to see plenty of targets to close out the regular season.

October 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins (undisclosed) will return to action Saturday against the Argonauts.

Collins has not played since landing on the six-game injured list in mid-September, but he will return to action this week and fill the starting receiver spot opposite Nic Demski. He could play a key role for the Roughriders right away with the team losing two fellow receivers for the season in Week 16.

September 17, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins was placed on the 6-game injured list Saturday, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

It's unclear what the 24-year-old is dealing with but he will require a stay on the injured list to heal up. After a hot start to the season, the wideout has cooled off, hauling in only eight receptions for 125 yards and no touchdowns in his last four weeks.

September 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins caught five passes for 97 yards in Sunday's loss to the Blue Bombers.

There was plenty of production to go around Sunday for the Roughriders' receiving corps as Darian Durant attempted 47 passes and threw for 399 yards, but that's been the exception rather than the rule for the Saskatchewan offense this season. Collins is capable of solid numbers, but as Durant's third option behind Naaman Roosevelt and Caleb Holley his week-to-week consistency will likely remain spotty.

August 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins caught four passes for 68 yards in Saturday's loss to the Stampeders.

After totaling just four catches for 26 yards in his previous two games combined, Collins was able to return to the form he showed through the first four games of the season. The rookie will likely remain inconsistent, but he's capable of posting solid numbers when he can find some room.

July 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins amassed 70 yards on two first-quarter receptions in Friday's 30-29 victory over the Redblacks.

Collins continues to fulfill a secondary position in a receiving corps largely spearheaded by Naaman Roosevelt, but did help spot starter Mitchell Gale get off to a solid start in the first quarter. The 24-year-old wideout hauled in passes of 22 and 48 yards in a Roughriders' opening drive that culminated in a Tyler Crapigna field goal, helping to set the stage for what would be a significantly successful night for Gale in his first start. Collins figures to continue serving in an important complementary role for the Roughriders throughout the season.

July 9, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins caught six passes for a team-high 115 yards and a touchdown in Friday's loss to the Eskimos.

The TD was his first in the CFL, and Collins' rookie season in the league has gone well so far as he now has 10 catches for 171 yards and a score through two games. The Roughriders don't have much established talent at receiver, so if Collins continues to make an impact he could quickly emerge as Darian Durant's top option in the passing game.

July 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins amassed 56 yards on four receptions in Thursday's season-opening 30-17 loss to the Argos.

The 24-year-old had a solid CFL regular-season debut, playing second fiddle behind fellow wideouts Naaman Roosevelt and John Chiles on the night. Collins brings some big-play ability to the table after notching 64 catches for 1,187 yards and 14 touchdowns over his last pair of college campaigns, and will likely see his role expand as the season unfolds and he builds chemistry with quarterback Darian Durant.

June 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins grabbed four receptions for a team-high 78 yards in Saturday's 25-11 preseason loss to the Eskimos. He added 44 yards on two kickoff returns.

The 24-year-old offseason acquisition impressed in the final tune-up for the regular season, building optimism on what he may be able to offer the Roughriders' offense in 2016. Collins hadn't recorded a catch in Saskatchewan's exhibition opener versus the Lions last week, so the production Saturday, which included a 33-yard catch, was certainly a welcome sight. The Texas A & M-Commerce product brings some big-play ability to the table, having totaled 64 receptions, 1,187 yards and 14 touchdowns over his two college seasons.
