Durant played 15 games in Montreal last season and threw for 3,233 yards to go along with 15 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant agreed to a one-year deal with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday, Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Durant has signed on with the Blue Bombers just days after being released by the Montreal Alouettes following a troublesome 2017 campaign in which he threw for 3,233 yards, 15 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. The 35-year-old will serve as a veteran presence behind starting quarterback Matt Nichols this upcoming season.

January 15, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (knee) was released by Montreal on Monday, Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

Durant had a disappointing 2017 season, as his 16 interceptions exceeded his 15 touchdown passes. Over 17 games he compiled 3,233 passing yards and added 182 more on the ground.

November 2, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (knee) was taken off the team's depth chart ahead of Friday's game against Hamilton.

Durant will miss the final game of the regular season with a knee injury, while Matthew Shiltz is set to take his place under center. Over the course of the 2017 season, Durant played in 15 games and threw for 3,233 yards and 15 touchdowns.

November 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (knee) has not been ruled out of Friday's game against Hamilton, but will not start under center for the season finale.

Bill Beacon of The Canadian Press reported that rookie quarterback Matthew Shiltz will make his first career start, and although he didn't provide an update on Durant's status, it's difficult to see him earning much time on the field this weekend. With the Alouettes eliminated from playoff contention, the team is also expected to give practice squad member Antonio Pipkin an opportunity during the Week 20 contest.

October 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant will not return to Friday's game against the Roughriders after injuring his knee, Roughriders sideline reporter Lee Jones reports.

The severity of the injury is not known at this time, but it is enough to keep Durant from returning. Matt Shiltz will will in under center for the remainder of the game.

October 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant will start Friday's game against the Roughriders, the Montreal Gazette reports.

Durant appeared in just one game since Week 14 while the Alouettes evaluated their other quarterbacks, but he will start this week for sentimental reasons against the team he played the last 11 seasons for. While Durant will start, he has frequently been removed mid-game over the second half of the season, so it remains to be seen if he will finish the contest if he struggles.

October 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (lower body) completed eight of 14 passes for 92 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's 43-16 loss to the Tiger-Cats before being pulled for Matt Shiltz at halftime.

Durant couldn't get a single first down for the entirety of the second quarter, prompting the change at quarterback. The veteran was making his first appearance since Week 14, but given his struggles Sunday, it remains to be seen if he'll draw the start against the Roughriders in Week 19.

October 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (lower body) will draw the start for Sunday's game against the Tiger-Cats.

Durant, who hasn't taken the field since Week 14, was seen practicing with the starters during Wednesday's practice. So, this news isn't too surprising.

October 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (lower body) practiced with the starters at Wednesday's practice, Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

Durant has not taken the field since Week 14, but it appears he will have a chance to both play and start in this week's matchup with the Tiger-Cats.

October 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (lower body) is listed as the third-string quarterback for Monday's game against the Eskimos.

Durant will suit up Monday, but he is not ready to reclaim his starting spot, and will presumably only be available in an emergency. Drew Willy will get the nod under center for the second week in a row.

September 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (lower body) is listed as the No. 3 quarterback on the team's depth chart in advance of Friday's game against the Stampeders.

It seems likely that Durant will dress, given that he's listed on the depth chart. But, it appears he will only be used in an emergency situation as he's behind Matthew Shiltz. Drew Willy will get the start in Durant's stead.

September 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (lower body) was seen with his helmet on and throwing passes during Wednesday's practice, but Drew Willy was the one seen taking reps, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Durant seems to be progressing in his recovery, though seemingly is still feeling enough discomfort to hold him out of taking reps. He should still be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Stampeders, though it looks as if Willy has a solid chance of being the No.1 option under center.

September 26, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant is dealing with a lower body injury and did not practice Tuesday, Didier Ormejuste of RDS reports.

It's unclear how serious the injury is, but it's apparently giving significant discomfort. He should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Stampeders until further notice. If he's ultimately unable to play, expect Matthew Shiltz to be the top candidate to start under center.

September 24, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 25 of 38 passes for 231 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions in Saturday's 33-19 loss to the Argonauts. He also gained 11 yards on four rushes and threw a two-point conversion pass.

Durant got the start despite having been pulled in last Sunday's contest versus the Redblacks, but he didn't validate the second chance against a tough Argonauts defense. The veteran signal caller threw multiple picks for the fourth time this season and now has a 4:6 TD:INT ratio over the last five contests. It remains to be seen if Durant will get the call once again in Week 15 versus the stingy Stampeders defense or whether the Als will turn to Drew Willy.

September 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant was pulled from Sunday's 29-11 loss to the Redblacks in the second quarter after failing to complete any of his six pass attempts.

The veteran signal caller couldn't get anything going for the first quarter and a half, leading to his ouster in favor of fellow vet Drew Willy. Durant had also struggled against the same Redblacks defense in Week 11 and had gotten the hook in favor of Willy in that contest as well. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to retake the reins of the offense in Week 14 against the Argonauts, given that general manager Kavis Reed is now also serving as the interim head coach for the balance of the season.

September 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 20 of 28 passes for 258 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and added 36 yards and another touchdown on five rushes in Friday's 41-18 loss to the Lions. He also completed a two-point conversion pass.

After being pulled against the Redblacks in Week 11, Durant's performance was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal night for the Als on Friday. The veteran averaged a solid 9.2 yards per attempt while also notching his first running score of the season and a season-high in rushing yards. The effort was much more reminiscent of Durant's body of work the majority of this season, a year in which he's mostly been a pleasant surprise after a long tenure with the Riders. He'll look to try and help Montreal get back in the win column in a Week 13 rematch versus the Redblacks.

August 31, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant was pulled during Thursday's game against the Redblacks in favor of Drew Willy, Devin Heroux of CBC News reports.

Durant will (presumably) finish the night completing 12 of his 21 passes for 140 yards and one interception before being pulled in favor of Willy. More details should emerge about the reasoning behind the decision and Durant's role moving forward following Thursday's game.

August 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 31 of 43 passes for 316 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in Thursday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Blue Bombers. He also added three carries for 32 yards.

The second pick was a killer, as Durant turned the ball over on Montreal's second overtime possession, setting up the winning field goal for Winnipeg. This was still an impressive rebound effort for the veteran QB after his career-worst performance in Week 9, and if Durant can stay healthy he's on pace for his best statistical season since 2013.

August 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 14 of 27 passes for 93 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 38-6 loss to the Argos.

Durant's first-quarter interception was particularly costly, considering it cut short a 10-play drive and came at the goal line. The Als offense couldn't get into any kind of rhythm during the blowout loss, with the team's only touchdown coming on a pick-six. Durant's passing yardage was easily a season-low figure, and Saturday's contest marked the first in which he hadn't thrown at least one touchdown since Week 3. Given the veteran's otherwise solid performances throughout the campaign, it's likely safe to label the forgettable effort as an outlier. Durant and the Als will look to bounce back in a quick Week 10 turnaround matchup against the Blue Bombers next Thursday.

August 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 18 of 27 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns in Frtiday's 21-9 win over the Argos.

It was far from a dominating performance, but with the Alouettes' defense completely stifling any hint of a passing game from the Argos, Durant's main job was simply to avoid mistakes and turnovers. The veteran QB's 10:7 TD:INT through seven contests isn't impressive, but he's now fifth in the league in passing yards at 1,977.

July 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 27 of 35 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Thursday's 41-40 loss to the Blue Bombers.

He also rushed the ball twice for 15 yards. Durant seemed the have a victory well in hand for the Als after engineering a couple of fourth-quarter scoring drives before a shocking late collapse from their defense. The veteran QB had something of a slow start to the season, but he's now on pace for his first 5,000-passing yard campaign since 2010.

July 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 35 of 45 passes for 452 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in Wednesday's 24-19 loss to the Redblacks.

While the raw numbers look impressive, they disguise a brutal first half that saw the Montreal offense commit four turnovers, including a Durant fumble and a pick in the end zone that snuffed out the team's first drive deep into Ottawa territory. Still, the veteran QB finally got things clicking in a big second-half comeback, giving the Als' passing attack some momentum heading into next week's game in Winnipeg.

July 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 17 of 22 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Friday's 30-23 win over the Stampeders.

The passing yards were a season high for the 34-year-old, who also added 20 rushing yards on four carries. Durant doesn't have the fantasy upside of some of the gunslingers in the West Division, including Calgary's Bo Levi Mitchell, but on a night when Montreal's defense stepped up he was able to generate enough offense to get the job done. Durant could put together another productive game in Week 5 on the road against a struggling Ottawa squad.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 24 of 36 passes for 245 yards with one interception in Thursday's 23-16 loss to the Lions.

Montreal's offense has had a little trouble so far stretching the field in 2017, leaving Durant averaging only 214.7 passing yards a game through three starts with a career-low 7.1 yards per completion. The veteran QB will need to get his new offense clicking in a hurry, however, if he hopes to keep pace next week with Bo Levi Mitchell and the explosive Stampeders' passing attack.

July 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 14 of 24 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Friday's 23-19 loss to Edmonton.

The former Saskatchewan pivot led Montreal to a TD midway through the first quarter and a 10-0 lead heading into the second, but Edmonton's defense clamped down after that. Durant showed last week he still has something left in the tank at age 34, but fantasy GMs should expect plenty of game-to-game volatility in his performances.

June 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 20 of 31 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 17-16 win over the Roughriders.

The long-time Saskatchewan quarterback got a chance to face his former club right away after leaving in free agency this offseason, and Durant showed the Riders what they were missing as he led Montreal to a victory in a nailbiter. The 34-year-old has had trouble staying healthy in recent years, but he's thrown for over 3,500 yards in every season in which he's played at least 15 games and should be productive for the Als.

June 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (knee) completed 7-of-12 passes for 113 yards and threw two touchdown passes in the Alouettes' preseason finale Thursday.

Durant suffered a knee injury in practice a few weeks ago, but the setback was not believed to be serious, and his participation in Thursday's contest confirms that was the case. Durant is set to start at quarterback for the Alouettes after spending the last 10 years with the Roughriders, and he won't have to wait long to face his former squad -- Montreal will take on Saskatchewan in their June 22 season opener.

May 31, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (knee) went through MRI imaging and further examinations, and was determined to not have a serious injury.

Durant will continue to be evaluated on a day-to-day basis with no clear timetable for return. Still, the fact that this is not a long-term issue is a good sign for the Alouettes' starting quarterback.

May 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Coach Jacques Chapdelain is "cautiously optimistic" that Durant wasn't seriously injured in practice Tuesday, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

It's unclear what injury Durant may have suffered, but it's good news to hear coach Chapdelain's opinion is that it may not be as serious as it initially seemed. There will likely be more updates on Durant's status in the near future.

January 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant signed a three-year contract with the Alouettes on Thursday.

Durant has spent his entire career with the Roughriders and is coming off a 2016 campaign where he completed 330-of-496 passes for 3,839 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions across 15 games. The Alouettes acquired his rights in a trade with the Roughriders earlier in January and they've now come to an agreement to keep Durant in Montreal for the next three seasons. The 11-year veteran is expected to take the reigns as the team's starting quarterback, all the while mentoring some of the team's younger signal callers.

January 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Jacques Chapdelaine informed the team that Durant will be the starting QB to open the season, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Durant, who had previously spent all of his years in the CFL in Saskatchewan has not officially signed with Montreal yet, but the move is expected to come in the near future. It leaves Vernon Adams on the outside looking in.

November 4, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant will not play in Saturday's regular season finale against the Lions, TSN's Farhan Lalji reports.

The veteran Durant will get the week off with the Roughriders already eliminated from playoff contention, and Mitchell Gale will get the start in his place. Durant played well this season and has spent his entire career with the Roughriders, but he will be a free agent this offseason, and it remains to be seen if he will be back in Saskatchewan in 2017.

October 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 15 of 28 passes for 163 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's 24-6 loss to the Lions.

The veteran quarterback simply couldn't get anything going against a game Lions defense in what was the Roughriders' final game in Mosaic Stadium. He also alternated some snaps with Jake Waters in an attempt to get the offense kick-started, but it was all for naught in what was a sluggish performance overall. Durant has now only thrown for over 200 yards in the last three games, and has failed to throw a touchdown over the last two games. It remains to be seen if he'll get the starting call in the season finale, a Week 20 rematch versus the Lions.

October 16, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 15 of 22 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 29-11 win over the Argos. He also ran the ball three times for 27 yards.

The Riders took control of the game early, heading into the half with a 20-0 lead, so Durant wasn't called on to do too much. He should be in line for a more productive game next Saturday at home against the Alouettes.

October 8, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 22 of 38 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's 32-30 overtime win over the Redblacks.

It wasn't the most efficient performance, but Durant was solid when it mattered, leading Saskatchewan on a 102-yard touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter that almost won the game for the Roughriders before they wrapped things up for good in OT. Durant has been streaky all season (he posted a 7:0 TD:INT through the first four games, then a 1:6 TD:INT through the next four) so his 3:0 TD:INT and 654 passing yards over the last two contests bodes well for his chances of putting up big numbers next Saturday in Toronto.

September 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (undisclosed) completed 23 of 31 passes for 326 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in Saturday's 20-18 victory over the Ti-Cats. He also totaled 15 yards and a touchdown on two rushes.

The veteran signal-caller left the game in the third quarter with an undisclosed injury but put together an outstanding performance before his exit. Durant connected with Nic Demski and Caleb Holley for long receptions Saturday, setting up his own one-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter. He also found Armanti Edwards for a spectacular 46-yard scoring pass, giving him touchdown throws in three of his last four games. The 300-yard effort was also Durant's first since back in Week 11 versus the Blue Bombers, but the extent of his injury remains to be seen.

September 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 20 of 29 passes for 174 yards and an interception Sunday, but also ran in the game-winning touchdown during overtime in a 26-23 win over the Eskimos.

He finished the night with five carries for 61 yards, including the TD, to salvage his fantasy line. It was Durant's fourth rushing TD of the season, which certainly helps soften the blow of his pedestrian 2650 passing yards and 9:7 TD:INT through 10 games. He'll face a tough test Saturday at home against a fierce Hamilton defense.

September 11, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 23 of 36 passes for 283 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in Saturday's 17-10 loss to the Blue Bombers. He gained three yards on his sole rush.

The 34-year-old has now rattled off four straight strong performances after a four-interception nightmare against the Ti-Cats back in Week 9. Durant once again showed excellent rapport with Naaman Roosevelt, hitting his top target six times for 120 yards. The veteran signal-caller will look to continue his recent stretch of positive play when he takes on the Eskimos in a Week 13 matchup that could result in an offensive shootout.

September 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 36 of 47 passes for 399 yards and a touchdown while throwing two interceptions in Sunday's 28-25 loss to the Blue Bombers. He also added four carries for 13 yards and a TD, completed a pass for one two-point conversion and ran in a second.

He spent most of the second half trying to engineer a comeback, as Winnipeg led 19-3 just after halftime, but Durant's efforts came up just short. The QB has three rushing touchdowns in his last two games to bolster his fantasy value but the TD pass was his first since Week 7 against Calgary, an unacceptable production drought for the position.

August 27, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 27 of 38 passes for 314 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Friday's 33-25 loss to the Eskimos and was also brought down for a safety. He added 13 yards and two touchdowns on four rushes.

The veteran signal-caller put up some impressive numbers in the loss, but it wasn't enough to overcome a large first-half deficit. Durant was able to shake off a first-quarter collision to will his way into the end zone on a one-yard sneak in the third quarter, beginning a Roughriders comeback from a 22-3 halftime deficit. He added a second one-yard rushing touchdown later in the period and managed to drive Saskatchewan down into the end zone one final time with some sharp passing. The pair of scores on the ground were Durant's first of the season, while the yardage total through the air represented his first 300-yard game since back in Week 3 against the Eskimos. Despite the loss, the performance was an encouraging one for Durant from a fantasy perspective, one that he'll look to build on when the Riders take on the Blue Bombers.

August 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 18 of 28 passes for 235 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions in Saturday's 53-7 loss to the Ti-Cats. He gained 19 yards on four rushes.

The veteran quarterback couldn't get a break against a relentless Ti-Cats defense, which snapped his record of 323 consecutive pass attempts without an interception with an early-game pick. Although Durant is still the only CFL quarterback to ever reach more than 300 passing attempts and 12 consecutive starts without an interception, his pace of getting picked off Saturday served to make up plenty of ground in that department. Durant now has only two touchdowns over the last four games, with none in the last two weeks. He's also failed to hit the 300-yard mark since Week 3 after accomplishing the feat in each of his first two games. He'll try to bounce back with a badly-needed successful performance when the Roughriders take on the Eskimos.

August 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 24 of 37 passes for 267 yards while rushing for an additional 74 yards in Saturday's 19-10 loss to the Stampeders.

He didn't make any big mistakes but Durant couldn't find paydirt when it counted, with the Roughriders' only touchdown coming on a Mitchell Gale sneak following a defensive penalty that gave the 'Riders another chance after they were stuffed twice on the goal line. With Saskatchewan now 1-6 and stuck in the West Division basement, the 33-year-old Durant could lose more snaps and even starts to younger QBs like Gale as the season progresses.

August 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 17 of 28 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss to the Stampeders.

The Roughriders' offense didn't look much better with Durant back under center than it had while he was out with an ankle injury, but better days should be ahead once he finds his rhythm again. On the bright side, Durant hasn't thrown an interception in 11 games, a streak dating back to 2014 due to various injuries.

August 3, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (ankle) is listed as the starter for Thursday's game against the Stampeders,

This will be Durant's first start since he suffered a severe ankle sprain in July. Now that he's starting, Mitchell Gale will slot back into the back up position. Durant completed 65-of-96 attempts for 731 yards and six touchdowns prior to his injury.

August 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (ankle) took most of the snaps at Monday's practice, and could be the starting quarterback for this Thursday's game against the Stampeders.

Durant suffered a severe ankle sprain in July, and hasn't played since. The normal starting quarterback has been nearing a return since he began practicing again last Monday. Before his injury, Durant completed 65-of-96 attempts for 731 yards and six touchdowns.

July 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (leg) will be inactive for Friday's game against the Alouettes, TSN's Gary Lawless reports.

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Durant is sitting out Friday, as the depth chart the Roughriders released earlier this week had him listed as the third-string quarterback behind G.J. Kinne and Mitchell Gale, who will make his second start in a row. Durant was able to practice this week, so he should have a chance to return for the Roughriders' Week 7 matchup with the Stampeders next Thursday.

July 27, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (ankle) is improving but will not start Friday's game against Montreal.

This will be the second consecutive game that Durant has not started since spraining his ankle two weeks ago. Despite missing another game, Durant was able to take some first-team reps in practice this week and appears ready to return sooner rather than later. Mitchell Gale will be under center again this week for the Roughriders.

July 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (ankle) returned to practice on Monday, Lee Jones of CTV Regina reports.

Durant suffered a severe ankle sprain just over a week ago and was forced to sit out Friday's game against the Redblacks. After some time off for rest and rehabilitation, Durant is now able to practice and was seen splitting reps with Mitchell Gale with the first team offense. We'll likely see his status updated after practice or later in the week, but for now, consider him questionable for Friday's matchup with the Alouettes.

July 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (leg) is listed as the fourth quarterback on the Roughriders depth chart for Friday's tilt with the Redblacks.

It was announced on Wednesday that Durant would not be the starting quarterback this week after suffering a severe ankle sprain in last Saturday's game, but moving him to the last slot on the depth chart assures he won't be seeing any game-action this week. It will be up to Mitchell Gale to lead the charge on Friday night, with G.J. Kinne serving as the immediate backup.

July 20, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant (ankle) won't start Friday's game against the Redblacks, Murray McCormick of the Regina Leader-Post reports.

Head coach Chris Jones didn't say much about Durant's availability for the game, only that backup quarterback Mitchell Gale will start. Durant sprained his ankle midway through Saturday's game, and sat out while Gale saw his first action as a Roughrider. Jones is being cautious with his regular starter, and it seems unlikely that he would play Durant at all on Friday due to his cautionary stance on Durant's injury.

July 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Chris Jones believes it is unlikely that Durant (ankle) will play in Friday's matchup with Ottawa, Roughriders announcer Rod Pedersen reports.

Durant suffered a severe sprain in his ankle during Saturday's loss to the Lions, which was originally thought to be a season-ending injury. However, Durant has progressed rapidly and the team is hopeful he can begin throwing again during Wednesday's practice, although a return to the field could still be a ways away. If Durant is ultimately ruled out, look for Mitchell Gale to start under center this week.

July 17, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant has been diagnosed with a severe ankle sprain, but x-rays on the injury were negative, the CBC reports. "That's a pretty significant injury." said head coach Chris Jones. "He's going to be pretty sore. We're not going to put him in a situation where he could potentially get hurt worse. I'll be smart and I will protect Darian."

While he didn't suffer a season-ending injury in Saturday's loss, it's not clear how long he'll be out. Mitchell Gale will likely start Friday against Ottawa. Durant will likely be out several weeks at a minimum.

July 16, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant will not return to Saturday's game after suffering what appeared to be a left leg injury, Murray McCormick of the Regina Leader-Post reports.

While the exact injury remains unclear, Durant was seen limping to the locker room while favoring his left leg. He played in a little less than half the game, completing 7-of-10 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. The severity of the injury remains unclear at this point in time, but we should hear more on the injury in the coming few days. Mitchell Gale will take over quarterback for the Roughriders in his absence.

July 9, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 27 of 38 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns in Friday's loss to the Eskimos.

He also carried the ball six times for 15 yards, but came up short on a third-and-one carry in overtime as the Roughriders tried to pull out their first win of the season. After a couple of injury-plagued seasons, the 33-year-old Durant looks to be back in his old form through the early part of 2016. He'll face a tough test at home next week against the Lions, however.

July 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Durant completed 31 of 48 passes for 310 yards and a touchdown in the Roughriders' opening-game 30-17 loss to the Argos. He gained 15 yards on five rushes as well, and also caught his own deflected pass and advanced it three yards.

The veteran looked reasonably sharp in his first regular-season game action since the 2015 opener, a contest in which he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. Durant was efficient through the majority of the game, but he and his wideouts had some trouble finishing drives in the end zone. Despite some hiccups, the 33-year-old moved well, providing some assurance that his pre-injury mobility has returned. The two-time Grey Cup champion is likely to look even better in subsequent weeks as he works himself all the way back to top form, and will try to build on his solid performance in Saskatchewan's Week 3 tilt against the Eskimos.

Durant completed 11 of 19 passes for 153 yards with two interceptions in Saturday's 25-11 preseason loss to the Eskimos. He also gained four yards on his only rush.

The 33-year-old looked reasonably sharp save for his pair of interceptions, which could largely be the result of Durant working off rust after only playing in the opener in 2015 before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. The two-time Grey Cup champion did average a stellar 13.9 yards per completion, and the extended work figures to serve him well going into the June 30 opener versus the Argos.
