RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell was released by the Roughriders on Thursday, Ian Hamilton of Riderville.com reports.

Bell didn't spend much time with Saskatchewan, as the running back only signed with the team in early November after being cut by Ottawa earlier in the year. He will look to latch on with a different organization in the coming months. Bell hasn't appeared in a CFL game since 2016.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell will not be added to the active roster ahead of Saturday's game against the Eskimos, Taylor Shire of Global Regina reports.

Bell recently signed with the team earlier this week, but won't play during the regular-season finale even though Cameron Marshall (knee) and Trent Richardson (rest) have already been ruled out.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell signed with the Roughriders on Wednesday, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell most recently appeared in a game for the Edmonton Eskimos in 2016. During the 2016 season he played in four games and rushed for 425 yards on 68 carries, while scoring one touchdown. The team has yet to elaborate on how prominent of a role Bell will have in the backfield, but more news should become available heading into Saskatchewan's game against Edmonton on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell was cut by the Redblacks on Saturday.

Bell, who played a reserve role with the Eskimos last season, was cut by the Redblacks on Saturday before the start of the regular season. He ran for 425 yards on 68 carries last year, including one touchdown. Unfortunately for him, Ottawa's already present running back depth didn't do him any favors.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell signed a one-year deal Thursday with the Redblacks.

Bell played in just four games last season with the Eskimos, as he was commonly found playing a reserve role with the team. He did, however, still manage to run for 425 yards on 68 carries and one touchdown. Bell should be given an opportunity to compete for carries with the Redblacks this coming season, but nothing is guaranteed with Ottawa boasting solid running back depth already.

November 4, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell will start at running back in Saturday's game against the Argonauts.

Bell has not played since Week 14 with fellow running back John White healthy and running effectively, but he is set to be the Eskimos' top running back in Week 20 with White and several other starters getting rest prior to the postseason. Bell answered the call when asked this season, averaging an impressive 6.2 yards on 55 carries, so he figures to be plenty active Saturday.

October 28, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell was scratched from Friday's lineup, according to Dave Campbell of 630 CHED.

As is typically the case when fellow running back John White is healthy, Bell did not suit up for Friday's contest. He will have one more chance to play before the regular season comes to an end.

October 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Lions, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell has been a frequent game-day scratch this season, and that will be the case again Saturday. John White will start at running back for the Eskimos.

October 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell is listed as the backup running back on the depth chart for Saturday's matchup with the Lions.

While Bell should be available for Saturday's game if needed, he has frequently been scratched this year when being listed as the No. 2 back, so he is not a lock to suit up. Either way, John White is set to be the Eskimos' primary running back this week.

October 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell (undisclosed) was scratched from the lineup for Monday's matchup with the Alouettes, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

It's not clear if Bell was scratched for health reasons or not, but he will not suit up Monday. John White will work as the Eskimos' starting running back.

October 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell (undisclosed) is listed as a reserve running back on the depth chart for Monday's game against the Alouettes.

Bell appeared set to take over as the Eskimos' starting running back heading into Week 15, but he did not play that week after suffering an injury, and fellow running back and former starter John White totaled 168 yards in his place. Head coach Jason Maas has not confirmed who will start Monday, but the depth chart hints at White getting the nod.

September 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell (undisclosed) is inactive for Friday's Week 15 matchup against Winnipeg, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell sustained an undisclosed injury in Wednesday's practice and will miss his first start in the Eskimos last two. In his place, John White is likely to see the lion's share of carries against the Blue Bombers.

September 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell suffered an undisclosed injury in practice Wednesday, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports. John White will likely start at running back Friday against Winnipeg as a result.

It's thought the injury to Bell is not serious, but details are not yet available. Bell was primed to take over as the Eskimos' starting running back this week, but his injury leaves the situation up in the air beyond Friday's game.

September 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell will be the Eskimos' starting running back moving forward, the Edmonton Journal reports.

Bell has spent most of the season as the backup running back behind John White, but he filled in three times for an injured White over the last five weeks and seized the starting job, averaging 6.2 yards on 55 carries. White will loom in the background having started 10 games for the Eskimos this season, but Bell is in position to hold onto the top spot on the depth chart as long as he keeps running well.

September 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell is listed as the starting running back on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Lions.

Fellow running back John White (shoulder) also shows up on the depth chart, but he is listed as the backup, and was scratched last week after slotting in at the same spot. That likely leaves Bell to handle all the carries for the Eskimos for another week. Bell has produced when given the chance this season, averaging 7.0 yards per carry on 32 attempts in the two games he has appeared in.

September 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell carried the ball 14 times for 88 yards in Sunday's loss to the Roughriders.

He's now run for 226 yards in just two games this season, so if John White's shoulder injury lingers, Bell should be able to remain very productive in his place.

September 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell is in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Roughriders, Dave Campbell of Insider Sports reports.

With regular starting running back John White out with a shoulder injury, Bell will move into the lineup in his place and should see an increase in carries versus the Roughriders. Bell has just 18 carries to his name this season, to go along with 138 yards, but has the chance to have a strong showing while acting as the team's lead tailback.

September 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

With fellow running back John White unable to practice Thursday due to a shoulder injury, according to Eskimos broadcaster Morley Scott, Bell could start at running back Sunday against the Roughriders.

Bell served as the Eskimos' starting running back in Week 10 with White sidelined, making him the favorite to fill the role again if White does not suit up Sunday. Bell racked up an impressive 170 total yards and a touchdown in that Week 10 contest -- the only one he has appeared in this season -- so the Eskimos may not see much of a drop in production in White is unable to go this week.

September 5, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell was scratched from the lineup for Monday's game against Calgary, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell will sit out Monday despite finding success in the team's last game when he carried the ball 18 times for 138 yards and a touchdown. John White (hand) will return to action this week and take the starting running back spot back from Bell.

August 27, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell totaled 138 yards on 18 carries and added a touchdown and 32 yards on four receptions in Friday's 33-25 victory over the Roughriders.

The Indiana State product put together one doozy of a season debut, making the absence of starting tailback John White (hand) a moot point. Bell punished the Roughriders defense early, breaking loose for a 42-yard gain on the Eskimos' second drive. He came back with a 15-yard catch for a touchdown on the next possession and added a key 27-yard scamper early in the fourth on a drive that would be capped by a Mike Reilly rushing touchdown. With White set to return for Week 11, it remains to be seen how the Eskimos try to incorporate the electrifying Bell into the game plan against the Stamps.

August 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell will start at running back Friday in place of the injured John White (hand), Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell has not appeared in a game for the Eskimos this season despite being on the roster the entire way, but he will get a chance to show what he can do in Week 10 with starting running back John White (hand) on the one-game injured list. Bell will be the only active running back for the Eskimos this week, so he figures to see the bulk of, if not all, the carries this week in White's absence.

August 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell took the first-team reps at Monday's practice with John White (hand) sitting out, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell has been frequently scratched this season and has not recorded a carry, but he has a chance to see some action in Week 10 with White banged up. The Eskimos will provide an update on their running back situation at some point prior to their matchup with the Roughriders on Friday.

August 11, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell has been scratched from Thursday's game against the Alouettes, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Although he is listed as the No. 2 running back on the Eskimos' depth chart, Bell was scratched from his second consecutive game Thursday. John White should continue seeing plenty of action at running back.

August 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell has been scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Redblacks, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Although he is listed as No. 2 running back on the team's depth chart, Bell will not play Saturday. Expect John White to continue carrying a bulk of the load for the Eskimos.

July 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Bell has been scratched from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Bombers, Dave Campbell of 630 CHED reports.

Bell was listed as the No. 2 running back on the Eskimos' depth chart this week, but it turns out he will not play Thursday night. Starting running back John White is the only running back to see a carry for the Eskimos this season, so he figures to see plenty of work Thursday night.
