Riley Neal
QuarterbackQB
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Neal is a graduate transfer from Ball State who is competing with Deuce Wallace and Mo Hasan for the starting quarterback job due to the departure of Kyle Shurmur. Neal threw for 1,917 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions in nine games before suffering a leg injury that prematurely ended his 2018 campaign. Neal also rushed for 357 yards and five scores, flashing his dual-threat ability. He has the size, poise and experience to start for the Commodores, but will still likely have to win the job in fall camp. Read Past Outlooks
Will start Saturday
November 12, 2019
Neal (concussion) will start Saturday's game against Kentucky, Adam Sparks of The Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
Neal exited the team's game against South Carolina on Nov. 2 with a concussion, but should be ready to return Saturday. Mo Hasan (concussion) is doubtful for Saturday's game, which should give Neal some job security during the game. Neal has thrown for 1,193 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions over eight games this season.

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Neal is competing with Jack Milas to start at quarterback for Ball State, though Neal is the favorite heading into the fall. Neal showed a dual-threat skill set as a freshman starter last year, running for 399 yards and two touchdown (4.5 YPC) while throwing for 2,276 yards (5.8 YPA), 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. Obviously, the passing efficiency was dreadful, but Neal acquitted himself well given his lack of experience, and his dual-threat background gives him upside if he should progress as a passer.
