Falemaka is shifting over to the other side of the ball as a defensive end, Josh Furlong of KSL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Kyle Whittingham said Monday that the team wanted to add more depth to the defensive end position so Falemaka, who was losing time in a crowded tight end group, was a naturally candidate for the role. Falemaka appeared in four games as a freshman last season, but failed to record a reception during his brief opportunity on offense. Whittingham added that this is a "trial period switch" so there's a chance that Falemaka will be reverted back in the future.
