2018

2017

Released by the Browns in the preseason, Gabriel got an opportunity in Atlanta and ran with it. Despite not seeing regular work until Week 8, Gabriel scored seven TDs, including one on the ground. Gabriel saw only 50 targets, but managed eight catches of 20-plus yards and three of 40-plus en route to 11.6 YPT (2nd among the league's 91 50-target WR). At 5-8, 167, Gabriel might be the smallest receiver in the league, but he's fast, quick and explosive. He ran a wind-aided 4.27 40 at his college Pro Day, but he was 4.53 against the wind, so he's probably in the 4.4 range. With former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan gone, it's unclear whether Gabriel will pad his stats with carries, but there's little doubt he will have a significant role from Week 1. Julio Jones is still the top dog, but Gabriel could be Matt Ryan's No. 2 target.

2016

Gabriel failed to record a touchdown in a struggling Browns offense in 2015, when he recorded 28 receptions for 241 yards in 13 games. A minor foot injury could impact his availability throughout the offseason, so he may have limited reps to prove himself worthy of a roster spot, particularly after the team picked five receivers in the 2016 Draft. Andrew Hawkins and first-rounder Corey Coleman are expected to lead the receiving corps, but the remaining spots are a toss-up at this point, and Gabriel's versatility could also allow him to make an impact in Cleveland's return game.

2015

Gabriel secured one of the final roster spots in Cleveland as an undrafted free agent, and ended up appearing in 16 games for the Browns, hauling in 36 passes (71 targets) for 621 yards and a touchdown. With Josh Gordon (suspension) being limited to five games, opportunity emerged for Gabriel, who was able to provide modest fantasy productivity — including a five-catch, 87 yard performance in Week 9 against Tampa Bay. The Browns brought in Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline in the offseason via free agency, so the 5-8 Gabriel may have a difficult time replicating those numbers with increased competition. He’ll likely be delegated primarily to the kick return game in 2015, but if the right combination of injuries above him on the depth chart occurs, Gabriel could still see a portion of offensive snaps.

2014

Gabriel earned one of the final roster spots at wide receiver in Cleveland, and after seeing work with the first-team offense during the preseason, the undrafted rookie has potential to see a few targets per game during regular season play. At 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds, Gabriel is greatly undersized, but has potential to see an expanded role if the injury bug ends up biting the Cleveland receiving staff at any point. The absence of star wideout Josh Gordon also helps his chances of eventually seeing meaningful looks.
