Morgan is retiring from football, Turron Davenport of reports.
A 2010 first-round pick, Morgan played each of his nine NFL seasons with Tennessee, notching 306 tackles (208 solo) and 44.5 sacks in 118 games. He had at least 4.5 sacks every year from 2012 to 2017, averaging 6.7 per season during that stretch. With fellow outside linebacker Brian Orakpo also retiring, the Titans are counting on Cameron Wake, Harold Landry and Kamalei Correa to provide a pass rush off the edge for an otherwise stellar defense.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
Morgan is still only 29 years old and has been a consistent pass-rushing force for the Titans over the years, but durability is a becoming a slight concern for the ninth-year linebacker who has missed nine games over the past three years. Furthermore, the 2010 first-rounder pick doesn't produce enough in the tackle column to be worthy of fantasy consideration, and that's unlikely to change as long as he's playing on the edge within such a talented linebacking corps. Accordingly, Morgan isn't a viable IDP option in 2018.
Morgan's playing time was supposed to be a major question mark last year with the second-round selection of outside linebacker Kevin Dodd, but he instead excelled at rushing the passer opposite Brian Orakpo while Dodd spent most of the season on the sidelines nursing a foot injury. While the 2010 first rounder could well repeat or even improve on last season's nine-sack campaign if he plays 765 defensive snaps again, the specter of a rotation at his position continues to loom.
Morgan was rolling with 4.5 sacks through 10 games in 2015 before landing on IR with a torn labrum. The team’s ineffective pass rush in his absence prompted Tennessee to bring in more outside linebacker depth, but the veteran should be a prominent part of the rotation at the position after bringing down the quarterback 23.5 times over the last four years.
Morgan should start at outside linebacker alongside newly acquired Brian Orakpo in Tennessee's 3-4 defense. The 26-year-old has been the spitting image of health in recent years, having played in 62 of a possible 64 games since 2011. Morgan recorded 63 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 2014, and could improve on those numbers under new assistant head coach Dick LeBeau.
Morgan is on track to remain in the start mix for the Titans, while transitioning from defensive end to outside linebacker. He'll look to build on his IDP numbers after a 2013 season in which he accumulated six sacks but just 34 tackles in 15 games.
Morgan is expected to start opposite Kamerion Wimbley at DE in 2013.
He was showing promise in his rookie season until a knee injury took him out for the remainder of the season in week four. He is coming back after a lot of hard work in the off season to hopefully make a significant difference in the Tennessee pass rush.
Morgan was drafted with the Titans' first round pick in 2010 and is expected to come in and make an impact as a pass-rushing defensive end. He will likely be a back-up in the beginning of the year but should see plenty of playing time and if he impresses, may step in as a starter who will also get snaps against the run.
