Shane Kruchten

The War Rhino
Fails to pull the upset against Aaron Pico
FeatherweightBellator
January 20, 2018
Kruchten lost to Aaron Pico via TKO (punches) at 0:37 of Round 1 at Bellator 192 on Saturday in Inglewood, Calif.
ANALYSIS
Kruchten was hoping to follow in the footsteps of Zach Freeman and become the second person to finish the so-called best prospect in MMA history. Unfortunately for him, it was not to be. Kruchten did not even have a chance to get going in this fight before he caught a liver punch from Pico. His night was over shortly after that. Even with this loss in his Bellator debut, Kruchten still holds a 12-4 record and might get another opportunity in the promotion.

Adds fight against Aaron Pico
FeatherweightBellator
December 21, 2017
Kruchten will meet Aaron Pico at Bellator 192 on Jan. 20 at The Forum in Los Angeles, MMAFighting.com's Alexander K. Lee reports.
ANALYSIS
Kruchten will wind up going a full year without fighting -- and nearly three years without two bouts -- after defeating Jeremy Mahon by unanimous decision last December in the World Series of Fighting promotion. Although he hasn't been the most active fighter, Kruchten enters having won 12 of his past 13 bouts, dating back to June of 2007. On the other hand, Pico is just beginning his career, as this marks the third fight for the 21-year-old since joining the promotion in 2017. He lost his first fight in 24 seconds to Zach Freeman, but defeated Justin Linn with a first-round knockout during his most recent bout in September.
