RotoWire Fantasy Analysis
Dawson was flagged for a potential U.S. Anti-Doping Agency policy violation Friday, MMAFighting.com reports.
Dawson has yet to compete in a UFC fight after joining the promotion in mid-August following a victory over Adrian Diaz during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender series. This will obviously delay that date even further. The 23-year-old was flagged for the potential violation that stemmed from an out-of -competition USADA drug test in October. Moving forward, the USADA will handle the "results and appropriate adjudication of this case."

Fantasy AnalysisDawson was well in control the entire fight. He secured a takedown in the first round and eventually took the back of Diaz, but time expired before he was able to sink in a rear-naked choke attempt. The second round was more of the same, but Dawson wouldn't be denied this time, ultimately collecting his ninth career submission victory. At 5-10, the 23-year-old is a large featherweight that has already exhibited commendable wrestling and jiu-jitsu, as well as a strong ground-and-pound game. He'll eventually catch himself in stand-up battles as he faces better competition, so striking will be an aspect of his game to focus on moving forward. He's an intriguing prospect from a fantasy standpoint, however, as all of his 12 professional wins have been earned via stoppage.
