RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Tukhugov has been suspended for two years by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy, Damon Martin of MMANYTT.com reports.

Tukhugov began his provisional suspension on Sept. 26, 2016, so he'll be eligible to return at that date this year. There was a long adjudication process that the "Warrior" ultimately lost when it was determined that a contaminated supplement was not a valid defense. Tukhugov started his career 3-1 in the UFC, and will be 27 years old when the suspension is lifted. The future remains bright for the Russian featherweight.

Tukhugov defeated Phillipe Nover via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Thursday in Las Vegas.

Fantasy Analysis

It’s a ninth win in a row for Tukhugov. He landed the far cleaner strikes, but he was never really close to getting a finish. He’s certainly a fighter to keep an eye on, but his defensive game definitely has some holes in it and there is no doubt that Tukhugov’s output decreased as the fight went on. It was a fairly pedestrian performance, although one that was certainly enough to beat Nover.
Tukhogov (-290) is the favorite for his featherweight fight against Phillipe Nover that will take place Thursday at UFC Fight Night 80 in Las Vegas.

Fantasy Analysis

Tukhogov is the owner of back-to-back wins in the UFC and a 17-3 professional record. He'll look to use his superior striking and takedown ability to mitigate the four-inch reach advantage of Nover.
