No Love
Booked for UFC 235
BantamweightUFC
January 6, 2019
Garbrandt (hand) will fight Pedro Munhoz in a bantamweight bout at UFC 235 in Las Vegas on March 2, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be the first fight for Garbrandt since he suffered a broken hand at UFC 227 back in August. He was originally given a timetable of six months, and the return to the octagon in March leaves him right on schedule. Garbrandt will be looking to get back on track after suffering back-to-back losses to T.J. Dillashaw.

Potentially out six months with broken hand
BantamweightUFC
August 9, 2018
Garbrandt suffered a broken right hand in his first-round knockout loss to T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 227, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Garbrandt will either need to seek a doctor's clearance or be suspended 180 days without contact before returning to action. The former bantamweight champion also lost by TKO to Dillashaw at UFC 217 last year, and is now at a decisive point in his career. Once he recovers, Garbrandt will likely merit a fight with a top-5 bantamweight as he looks to begin another run towards the top. He may need another contender to do him a favor and defeat Dillashaw first, as it's become clear that Dillashaw is an incredibly difficult matchup for "No Love."
Falls in rematch against TJ Dillashaw in the main event of UFC 227
BantamweightUFC
August 4, 2018
Garbrandt lost to TJ Dillashaw via TKO (punches) at 4:17 of Round 1 at UFC 227 on Saturday in Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Garbrandt appeared to come into this fight with a solid gameplan. It looked like he wanted to throw more single shots in order to avoid counters. However, Dillashaw was still able to score the counter that led to the finish of the fight. Once Garbrandt was hurt, Dillashaw was all over him until the finish. With two losses to the current champion, Garbrandt will likely need to go back to the drawing board and win several fights before getting into the title picture.
Scheduled for rematch against TJ Dillashaw
BantamweightUFC
April 4, 2018
Garbrandt is scheduled to fight TJ Dillashaw on August 4 at UFC 227, Brett Okamoto of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Garbrandt is seeking revenge after Dillashaw stripped him of the bantamweight title belt last November, ending his six-fight winning streak under the UFC banner. The 26-year-old started off strong last time and only lost the significant strike battle by two, but he ultimately succumbed to a second-round TKO loss at the hands of a more experienced fighter. "No Love" still has plenty of room to grow as a fighter, and a 100 percent takedown defense in his back pocket certainly helps.
Finished by T.J. Dillashaw, drops UFC Bantamweight Championship
BantamweightUFC
November 4, 2017
Garbrandt dropped his UFC Bantamweight Championship to T.J. Dillashaw on Saturday, falling via KO (punches) at 2:41 of Round 2 at UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Not a good night thus far for those who entered MSG as champion. Unlike Joanna Jedrzejczyk before him, Garbrandt's night got off to a good start. He controlled Round 1 and may have very well earned a stoppage win had Dillashaw not been saved by the bell. Round 2 was a different story. Cody's defense totally dissolved and TJ was able to hit him with everything but the kitchen sink. Garbrandt's toughness is the sole reason that he lasted as long as he did. Cody has always been a fighter that gets hit a lot, even in his victories. He was hit stunningly little in his fight against Dominick Cruz in which he won the belt, but the issue reared it's ugly head again on Saturday. The loss aside, Garbrandt is one of the best bantamweights in the world and we will see him again in the near future.
Returning to fight at UFC 217
BantamweightUFC
August 16, 2017
Garbrandt (back) will return to the Octagon at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden to face T.J Dillashaw, Damon Martin of UFC.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Garbrandt was scheduled to fight at UFC 213 against Dillashaw, but the title defense was put on hold due to a back injury he suffered during training. A trip to Germany for a stem cell injection has assisted in his treatment of the injury and he will finally return to the Octagon for his first attempt at defending the bantamweight belt after defeating Dominick Cruz by unanimous decision last December. Garbrandt has nine KO/TKO victories in his 11 professional fights, but Dillashaw hasn't been knocked out since his first UFC fight against John Dodson in 2011. In what projects to be a very close matchup, Garbrandt has opened as a slight betting favorite.
