Opponent switched for next fight
LightweightUFC
November 21, 2020
Pearce will now take on Kai Kamaka on Nov. 28 after his original opponent, Sean Woodson, withdrew for undisclosed reasons Saturday, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Woodson's withdrawal came just a week before the fight was scheduled to take place, but a replacement was evidently lined up quite quickly. The new matchup will feature a pair of fighters who will be appearing in the second UFC fight of their career. Pearce lost his UFC debut against Joe Lauzon in October of 2019, falling by TKO just 93 seconds into Round 1, while Kamaka won by unanimous decision against Tony Kelley in August of this year.

To fight Woodson on Nov. 28
LightweightUFC
October 13, 2020
Pearce will reportedly fight Sean Woodson at the UFC event on Nov. 28, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be Pearce's first match in over a year, as Pearce last fought at UFC Fight Night in Boston in Oct. 2019 where he lost his UFC debut fight to Joe Lauzon. On the other hand, Woodson, who most recently lost to Julian Erosa via submission back in June, will be ready to go.
No-shows UFC debut

Pearce lost to Joe Lauzon via TKO (punches) at 1:33 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night Friday in Boston.
ANALYSIS
You don't want to bury a guy following just one bout with the company, but any fighter who get smashed by an aging Lauzon on the feet has serious holes in their game. Getting submitted by the BJJ expert is one thing, but getting knocked out? Not good. Pearce got popped on the feet a couple times right off the bat before getting caught in a body lock on the mat and once the fight went to the ground, Pearce didn't have a prayer. Pearce earned his UFC contract with a knockout win over Jacob Rosales on the Dana White's Contender Series in July.

ANALYSIS
Pearce will be making his UFC debut in Boston on Oct. 18 against Massachusetts native, and veteran, Lauzon. Pearce was signed after an impressing victory over Jacob Rosales with a punch in Round 3 of Dana White's Contender Series on July 14.
Final contract in record-breaking night
LightweightUFC
July 14, 2019
Pearce defeated Jacob Rosales via TKO (strikes) at 1:50 of Round 3 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. He was one of a record-breaking five fighters to earn a UFC contract at the conclusion of the event.
ANALYSIS
Pearce may have closed as a slight underdog in this opportunity of a lifetime, but both fighters brought their "A" game to the cage Tuesday night. While each was aggressive, Pearce's cardio held up better, and he hurt Rosales badly in the second period. While Rosales survived, he was out of gas in the third round, which left the door open for Pearce to take him to the ground and unleash ground-and-pound. It was a right handed that ultimately ended the night and forced Herb Dean to step in and stop the bout. Pearce may have three losses on his record, but this victory brought the 27-year-old's winning streak to four, giving him plenty of momentum to take into his promotional debut.
