Osbourne defeated Armando Villarreal via submission (armbar) at 4:39 of Round 1 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. He was one of four fighters awarded a UFC contract on the evening.
Osbourne looked good on the feet early on, but roughly three minutes into the fight, he conceded a takedown to Villareal. From his back, Osbourne was able to transition into an armbar that forced Villareal to verbally tap. While Osbourne isn't entering the UFC undefeated, he showed Tuesday he possesses the array of skills necessary to compete at this level. Standing at 5-7 with a 72-inch reach, Osbourne has enough size and length for the 135-pound division. He's earned five of his six professional wins via stoppage -- two knockouts and three submissions.
