Highlight reel KO in St. Louis
LightweightUFC
May 11, 2024
Ribovics defeated Terrance McKinney via KO (head kick) at 0:37 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in St. Louis.
ANALYSIS
It's going to be a while, if ever, before we see a head kick knockout as beautiful as this one. Facing an opponent in McKinney who is a notoriously quick starter, Ribovics didn't let him get out of the starting block. He got his leg up in an instant, crushing Terrance in the side of the head and earning an immediate victory as a result. The 28-year-old Argentinian has won back-to-back fights on the heels of a unanimous decision defeat in his UFC debut.

Scheduled against McKinney
LightweightUFC
February 12, 2024
Ribovics (undisclosed) is scheduled to compete against Terrance McKinney at the UFC's May 11 event, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Ideally for Ribovics, he can prevent a second consecutive withdrawal, which he ended up having to do before his scheduled Nov. 4 fight against Elves Brener. Before then, he redeemed himself from a UFC 285 loss by defeating Kamuela Kirk at UFC 290.

Ribovics withdrew from his scheduled fight against Elves Brener at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Ribovics' fight against Brener had reportedly been in jeopardy, and the bout has now officially been called off. Kaynan Kruschewsky will step in to fight Brener in Ribovics' place.
May not compete Saturday
LightweightUFC
October 31, 2023
Ribovics' scheduled fight against Elves Brener appears to be in jeopardy, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Ribovics was roughly a (+130) betting underdog for the preliminary lightweight matchup, and although the promotion hasn't made an official announcement yet, the matchup has been removed from multiple high-profile sites. It's unclear if the UFC is simply moving the date, or if there was an injury or visa issue.
Will take on Elves Brener
LightweightUFC
August 17, 2023
Ribovics will fight Elves Brener in Sao Paulo on Nov. 4, according to Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPN.
ANALYSIS
This will be the third UFC fight for Ribovics. He debuted in a loss against Loik Radzhabov at UFC 285, but he got back on track July 8 when he beat Amuela Kirk by unanimous decision at UFC 290. A product of Dana White's Contender Series, Ribovics will have his hands full with the Brazilian as Brener is coming off a huge upset win over Guram Kutateladze via TKO.
Picks up first UFC victory
LightweightUFC
July 8, 2023
Ribovics defeated Kamuela Kirk via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 290 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Full marks to Ribovics for turning the fight around following a dreadful opening frame. He gave up a takedown to Kirk right off the hop and spent 4:37 of Round 1 on his back. Luckily for Esteban, that drained Kirk's gas tank in the process, allowing him to pull ahead on the feet in a major way over the course of the final ten minutes. It's worth noting Ribovics did give up a pair of takedowns in Round 3, but was able to work his way back to his feet both times. The 27-year-old Argentinian has power and is durable, but his grappling game needs work. This was his first UFC victory in two tries.
