Monica Puig
25-Year-Old
Ends injury-riddled season early
Leg
October 12, 2018
Puig (leg) has decided to end her 2018 season.
ANALYSIS
Puig most recently exited Linz early with a right leg injury and missed a portion of the summer season already with a hip strain. Rather than play out the final few tournaments of the season, the 25-year-old will understandably take the time off to rest in preparation for a healthier 2019. She ends 2018 at a record of 18-13 and will most likely fall outside the top-50 before the calendar turns over to the new year.
