RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike was named to the 2018 WNBA All-Star Game as a member of Team Parker.

Ogwumike made the All-Star team as a rookie back in 2014, but she missed two of the last three seasons due to major injuries, so this will mark just her second appearance. Ogwumike is averaging 14.8 points per game on 60.6 percent shooting.

July 14, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike registered 22 points (10-11 FG, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and two assists during the 91-87 home victory against Phoenix on Friday.

Just about the only bad thing to happen to Ogwumike on Friday was fouling out in 23 minutes of action, as she poured in 22 points on a near-perfect shooting performance in the win. Across 20 games so far in 2018, the 26-year-old Stanford product is adding 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per contest.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike provided 17 points (5-9 FG, 7-7 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists during Tuesday's 92-80 loss at Washington.

This was Ogwumike's third double-double outing of 2018 as she dropped a team-leading 17 points on 55.6 percent shooting overall while hauling in 11 rebounds. The Stanford alum is currently averaging 15.3 points and 8.0 rebounds across 13 games played.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike (knee) is in the starting five for Friday's game against Atlanta.

Ogwumike was probable for Friday's contest after missing one game, so this news doesn't come as a big surprise. On the season, she's averaging 15.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 28.5 minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike (knee) is probable for Friday's game against the Dream.

Ogwumike missed the Sun's most recent tilt Saturday against the Mercury, but the extended time off has apparently helped her get healthy. That said, she's not a lock to play. More information should arrive as gameday and tipoff draw closer.

June 16, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike is out for Saturday's matchup against the Mercury due to a knee injury.

It's not exactly clear when Ogwumike suffered the injury, as she played 35 minutes during the team's most recent game and was dominant, posting 30 points on 13-of-16 shooting. Regardless, in looking to replace her 28.5 minutes per game, the Sun will probably turn to Jonquel Jones and Brionna Jones. Ogwumike's next chance to take the floor comes Friday against Atlanta.

June 6, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike had 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 FT) and nine rebounds in Tuesday's 82-77 loss to the Dream.

Ogwumike had a decent performance Tuesday, as she dropped 12 points overall while narrowly missing what would have been her first double-double of the season by just one rebound. The Stanford product has opened the year by scoring in double figures in five of the first six games, including a five-game streak currently.

May 25, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike produced 18 points (9-12 FG), five rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block during the Sun's 102-94 victory over the Sparks on Thursday.

After missing all of last season recovering from Achilles surgery, Ogwumike appears to be at full strength as she went off for 18 points on 75 percent shooting from the field. Being fully healthy, it's likely that the former No. 1 overall pick can keep up this production through most of the 2018 season.

May 24, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike had nine points and four rebounds across 17 minutes in Sunday's 101-65 victory over Las Vegas.

Ogwumike missed the entire 2017 season due to Achilles surgery, but is fresh off a contract extension and expects to play a much bigger role in 2018. Her minutes were limited due to the blowout nature of the opener, as the team likely wants to be a bit conservative early on. She's more than capable of carrying a fantasy lineup when healthy, however, as Ogwumike averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds during her rookie campaign in 2014. She's just entering her athletic prime at 26 years old, though it remains to be seen if the injuries have taken their toll over the years.

May 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike (Achilles) will not play in Saturday's season opener against the Dream.

Ogwumike is still working her way back from offseason Achilles surgery; and not only will she not play Saturday, she will not play at all this season. That should give her ample time to fully recover in time for the 2018 campaign.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ogwumike, who is currently rehabbing from Achilles tendon surgery, has signed a multiyear extension with the Sun, ESPN.com reports.

Ogwumike has also been suspended by the team, but this is merely a procedural move, as the WNBA does not have an injured reserve list. The Stanford product is no stranger to injury, as she missed the entire 2015 season while recovering from microfracture surgery, and later went on to win the 2016 AP Comeback Player of the Year award. Averages of 12.6 points and 6.7 boards helped Ogwumike to win that award, but the following winter, she suffered the new injury while playing in China. The organization clearly has confidence in the long-term potential of this forward, who turned 25 last March.
