81. WAS starter TBD – ATL

Notes:
Mets fans are crossing their fingers that top prospect Matt Harvey debuts this week. I have Miguel Batista slated to start, but I'm guessing Harvey would be the more popular choice. ... Tim Lincecum could have his start this week skipped if he struggles on July 14 against Houston. Fortunately, it's Houston, so he should live another day. ... Not good timing for the Dodgers, as Roy Halladay (lat) is slated to return Tuesday in LA. ... I'll look into this more in-depth in a future Mound Musings piece, but I see Stephen Strasburg notching about 180 innings this year plus playoff innings. ... Jair Jurrjens has a 2.13 ERA in four starts since returning from Triple-A. It's time to trust him again. ... Mark Buehrle has a 0.83 ERA in his last 21.2 innings. ... Trevor Bauer will keep his rotation spot with Josh Collmenter heading to the bullpen. Bauer can probably thank the Dodgers (his last opponent) for this. ... Lance Lynn had a 9.98 ERA in his last three June starts, but rebounded with six shutout innings in his last start before the break. That and extra rest should help him get off to a quick start. ... Whether R.A. Dickey can keep this up in the second half is going to be a big story, as he's the first-half NL Cy Young winner, but in two of his last three starts, Dickey surrendered five runs. Manager Terry Collins is reportedly considering using Dickey on three days' rest come Aug. 1, something that could either increase his fantasy value greatly or cause him to burn out. ... With 12 runs in his last 10.2 innings, might the league have solved Wade Miley? He's a candidate to go from All-Star to Triple-A later this month. ... Jon Niese had a 1.89 ERA in five June starts. The Mets are for real folks.

63. Bruce Chen - SEA

67. Aaron Cook - CHW, TOR
68. Aaron Laffey - @BOS
69. Carlos Villanueva - @BOS
70. Phil Humber - @BOS, @DET
71. Jonathan Sanchez - SEA, MIN

Notes:
Consider Garrett Richards tentative for his start this week, as it could be Brad Mills getting the nod with Dan Haren (back) and Jerome Williams (chest) returning from the DL. ... Brandon Morrow's oblique appears to be healing nicely, but he probably won't be back until the week of July 23 at the earliest. ... Blake Beavan might get a start this week if Erasmo Ramirez (elbow) is not deemed good to go. ... Phil Humber returns this week to a 6.01 ERA. He's slated to pitch in Boston and Detroit, so using him is not recommended. ... Zach Britton and Chris Tillman pitch for the Orioles this week. Both have some upside, and it's good to see guys like that pitching for the Orioles for a change. ... With a so-so 6.1 K/9 and ugly 1.6 HR/9, Clay Buchholz has a lot to prove to fantasy owners in his return this week. ... Alex Cobb has been fairly inconsistent this year, but he has decent ratios – 6.3 K/9, 2.5 BB/9 – so he should continue to have AL-only value. ... Aaron Laffey has three consecutive quality starts, but it's really hard to trust him going into Boston this week. With a fastball that averages just 86 mph and four homers in 27 innings, he's in danger of a very ugly outing soon. ... Miguel Gonzalez is an interesting two-start play this week against the Twins and Indians. I will look at him in more detail in a future article. ... The bubble should burst at some point, but Jose Quintana has a 2.04 ERA in eight starts and allowed just two hits and a run over eight innings against the Rangers last time out. ... Justin Masterson seems to struggle against the Rays, so he's a questionable play this week. ... Ubaldo Jimenez has a 2.93 ERA over his last seven starts. Perhaps he's turned the corner (finally). ... Doug Fister has had issues keeping the ball in the park, but with a 4.75 ERA, he could still be a good buy-low, as his ratios are solid.
