Nickerson converted 3-of-9 field goals (including one from long range) and 8-of-11 free throws to finish tied with Alec Peters as Valparaiso's leading scorer in Wednesday's contest. The senior also pulled down the second-most rebounds (7) of any Crusader and accounted for one of eight assists and two of nine steals the team recorded in the victory. The 6-8, 185-pound guard heads into a Friday match up with Chicago State now averaging 7.3 points, four rebounds and 1.2 assists an outing. Teammate Tevonn Walker (11.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and a steal a game) currently remains the preferred fantasy play at guard for head coach Bryce Drew's squad, however.
