July 2, 2019
Fisher (knee) announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he would transfer to Grand Canyon.
ANALYSIS
The skilled, but health-challenged point guard will take a step down in competition and continue his career at Grand Canyon after three seasons with TCU. His best season came as a sophomore in 2017-18, when he averaged 12.3 points and 5.4 assists per contest. Fisher appeared in just nine games as a junior due in part to a knee injury and is expected to be immediately eligible for the upcoming season, either as a graduate transfer or as the recipient of a hardship waiver from the NCAA. Expect more clarity on Fisher's situation to come as fall approaches.
