Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh: Third ODI Preview

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will face off in the third and final ODI of the series in Colombo on Wednesday. The game is a dead rubber as the home side have already clinched the series after winning the first two matches comprehensively. The game will be played at the same venue, Colombo, where the first two matches were played so a similar kind of surface is expected with the weather is expected to stay fine throughout the match with few light showers potentially interrupting.

For the Islanders, the game will be an opportunity to test some of their bench strength and there might be few changes in the playing XI. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form Avishka Fernando, wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera and veteran Angelo Mathews to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on the likes of Nuwan Pradeep, Isuru Udana and Akila Dananjaya to produce timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, for Bangladesh, the game is an opportunity to finish the tour on a high after two below-par performances. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form Mushfiqur Rahim, captain Tamim Iqbal and opener Soumya Sarkar to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the batting front, the onus will be on the likes of Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam to produce timely breakthroughs.
