Stoinis scored 46 not out off 34 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a 17-run win against Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Stoinis had an impressive all-round day for the home side. The Australia international came out to bat in a tricky situation after the home team lost four wickets for just 81 runs in the ninth over. However, the 29-year-old looked composed during his stay at the crease and played a great supporting role in an unbeaten 121-run partnership for the fifth-wicket with AB De Villiers by scoring an unbeaten 46. That's not it as with the ball in hand, Stoinis not only claimed an important wicket of dangerous Mayank Agarwal, but also finished the innings with the best economy-rate of 6.50.
