Celtics Topple Pacers, 118-112
The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers, 118-112, at TD Garden on Friday night.

It seemed like it was another disaster in the making for the Celtics (16-17) early on Friday night, as Boston quickly found itself down 18-4 at the 7:05 mark of the first quarter. However, that seemed to jar Brad Stevens' squad out of its funk, as they owned a 32-31 lead over the Pacers (15-16) by the end of the period. The home squad had expanded its lead to eight points over Indiana heading into the final period, and despite some constant surges by the visitors all the way into the closing seconds, the Celtics held on for a much-needed victory.

Domantas Sabonis led the way for the Pacers with 24 points, adding nine assists and six rebounds. Justin Holiday supplied 19 points, five boards, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Myles Turner generated a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double that also includes one assist, three blocks and one steal. Aaron Holiday poured in 15 points, while Malcolm Brogdon finished with 12 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Kemba Walker paced the Celtics with 32 points, complementing them with six assists, three rebounds and one steal. Daniel Theis registered 17 points, four boards, one assist, three blocks and one steal. Jaylen Brown managed 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Robert Williams and Jeff Teague posted 14 points apiece, with Williams also pulling down 11 rebounds and three blocks.

The Pacers remain on the road and visit the New York Knicks on Saturday night, while the Celtics remain home and tangle with the Washington Wizards on Sunday night.
